30X40 Design Workshop Great topic and it's something related to what I'm working on at the moment. Do you think if you were moved to, or things happen and you decided to move to UK, Malaysia or Australia, (or any country where metric system is applied), can you get head around using metric system. Because it is a problem for me to understand imperial system, btw I'm from Aussie.

As a former frame carpenter with a 2 year drafting and design degree, plus 25+ years as a commercial superintendent, I'm a fan of your videos. (When I have time to watch). I appreciate the amount of coherent information that you fit into a short video timeline, without a lot of fluff. Bringing any project to fruition is a complex balancing act , having to juggle the constant flow of budget, deadline, scheduling, satisfying client wishes/concerns, adhering to code, timely procurement of materials, etc. After viewing a finished project, I'm sure that for the most part, people are unaware of what is required to "get to paint". Great videos. Appreciate the effort.

Details are what makes or breaks something. Even the untrained eye will most times feel something is off somewhere, where the detailing has not been resolved. You sir showed a beautiful process of achieving a wonderful result. My favourite I have to say is the chimney viewed from the outside. That was very nice and perhaps unexpected touch. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to more of your tips!

Thank you so much for this video. I am a recently graduate Architrctural Technologist and eventhough I had 6months of internship and 9 months of part time job(mostly in project proposal phase) I feel directionless. Watching your videos helps me see which areas of construction and Architecture I really would like to work with. Thank you.

I found this super interesting. I liked the fact that you emphasised that a detail it’s not only about what it looks like but how it’s assembled. Once, my supervisor sent a ceiling detail drawing to construction and they called us after a while to tell us that it was pretty, but impossible to put together, as there was no space for the technicians hand in such a small gap 😂 these things happen and we need to remember it! I’d love to see more of this! You explain things better and simpler than many of my architecture teachers did at college! Keep it up... I admire your work and dedication!

About to undertake my post grad masters degree in architecture and it excites me to see architects doing so well and producing such lovely work. The fire place looks magnificent but kudos to you Eric for designing such a house that pays tribute to its locality and does not impose on its context. I think to me that is a far more impressive feat and looking at the photographs, it appears to be a large home.

Thanks for supporting my work, Wayne. This channel is a labor of love for me, a fantastic creative outlet, I hope you can tell that I love it. I also feel like I've proven its educational value and been pretty selfless in making over 200 videos asking for nothing in return. The channel requires a huge time investment and it's a net financial loss for me as an individual. When I crossed the 200K subscriber mark, I thought, "To sustain the time investment and energy I put into these videos each week, there has to be a way other than AdSense to support making new videos." So, when KZbin began offering creators like me a way for subscribers to support my work I thought I'd try it. For $4.99/month (of which I get $3.49 and after taxes $1.75), I'd have to have a lot of members just to offset the cost of Internet access which is via my cell where I live. As I said in the video, membership isn't required...so nothing changes for you...for me, it's a way to see if I can begin to offset some of the costs.
