you can have it bezel set or add bead for bead seeting. I use Keyshot for my rendering. you can watch the tutorials on the keyshot playlist on my channel.

most of the commercial approach is solder the ready made pin and catch later after finish. unleass you have custom pin and catch. you may able to print the catch but fabricate the pin

You can use CreateUVCurve and design pattern flat. Then FlowAlongSurface to bring the pattern back to original surface.
