I have the complete opposite feel regarding his attacks. They feel quick at times but clunky in others. It's off-putting. I don't think it's a skill-issue because I can do his combo rotations fine and I admit his dps output is quite good. But just feels off to me. Just preferences i guess.

I love how i got him on my first 10 pull on the special 40 pity banner. Now im on my way to getting that Guarenteed Verina! EDIT: NO WAYYY!! I GOT VERINA IN MY 2ND 10 PULL!! I GOT BOTH CALCHARO AND VERINA WITHIN 30 PULLS. YINLIN HERE I COMEE EDIT 2: Okay, this is ridiculous.. I don't blame y'all if you don't believe me. But I SWEAR that I just got Lingyang on my next 10 pull using the free wishes we got in the mail.. This is legitimately the most luck I've ever had in a Gacha game. Prior to this, the luckiest was getting Hu tao in 9 pulls.. but the fact that I got THREE 5* characters in 40 PULLS is mind-boggling.. I'm probably going to be cursed with bad luck in the next 3 years.

This is something I've also noticed, but given the game's state (aka it just released) I think it's totally fine: There are not many weapons one would consider overall good/great. But likewise we also do not have as many characters to choose from atm. I believe both of these are "problems" that'll solve themsselves out over time. And so far the characters are distinct enough, imo, to make some interesting choices and team setups. Great video Mr. Tashed, as someone who got Calcharo off of his 50/50 on the Yinlin banner, your input was much appreciated ^^

For the % dmg bonus substats, imo you would want to prioritize Basic attack dmg > R. Liberation dmg > R. Skill Damage > Heavy attack damage. My Calcharo has everything at level 4/10, and the % are(roughly): Full basic attack combo ~430% Heavy attack + mercy ~380% Full basic attack combo during ult (Hound's Roar) ~600% Death Messenger ~630% Initial ult dmg ~380% Death Messenger is considered R. Liberation damage, so during the ult, in a full 5 combo of hound's roar + death messenger, you do slightly more dmg% bassed off liberation. Plus liberation dmg% increases your initial slash damage. This is in an ideal rotation with no real down time, seeing how that's not always achievable, you might use some normal attacks before getting your ult again. So generally, basic attack dmg% >= R. Liberation dmg% PS: Heavy Attack dmg% is therefore useless, getting any of the other dmg % /crit / atk% is way better, but it still beats hp or def in terms of damage, of course.

I gotta say using Yuanwu with Calcharo feels really nice, and doubles up on electro damage. May not be optimal but it's a ton of fun, he's kinda like Fischl but his off-field skill has a 3 second cooldown.

From my personal recomendation, i recently use Verina and Yangyang with Calcharo. Of course for more heal and boost dmg from Verina, but yangyang will also help Calcharo with her res skill and her ultimate, then Calcharo just need to execute all the enemies

honestly anyone can work in the 2nd slot until yinlin comes out, just make sure you are switch canceling on Calcharo which is his biggest ceiling dmg, I have Jianxin on moonlit clouds set. When using an outro skill -> 22% atk bonus for calcharo when swapping in plus jianxin's shield is ridiculous on top of bell echo+her outro buff.
