nice player bro but i missed the part of destroying the opponents lol: on the left u had to refill twice and lost like 30 bucks; on right u won a coin flip at start but then overbluffed too much and after that full J vs your straight you had to refill 20/30 bucks there too. Zoom poker has too much variance, 3 normal tables are better imo

Thanks for making these videos. Really enjoying your channel & respect your game & thought processes & explanations. Can you say a little bit about why you implement a limp strategy with AA, KK? @PhilBot4OOO
@PhilBot4OOO 7 ай бұрын
My guess is because early position opens get a lot of respect, ie folds from later players because they understand EP raise means typically stronger range and in general these lower stake pools are nitty. However, EP limps get the opposite, they do not get respect and there are players that will see a limp and think free money or easy iso spot etc. and make it 4/5/6x. You might even have a second player that attacks the iso-raising player because they think they are trying to iso the limp. Suddenly you have raise re-raise in front of you with AA. This happens often enough that the +ev outweighs the standard RFI approach.

very quick bet might be a strong data point there. In my experience though a very quick bet on a river that changes the board texture is often weak. The strong hands usually stop and think for a moment when the nuts change whether they have it or not. Spot in the video isn;t the situation I am describing the river was just an over card.

co vs bb, you 4b/ako on the co, saying the pool fold to much to 4b but it means their 5b range would be stronger. so would you consider 4b/f or alwasys 4b/c thx becasue vs QQ+ AKo+ range it seems you should 4b/f we need them to have a5s to be +EV

at 34.50 min you raise the A3dd and say you like these spots to raise. I have seen you do raises like this in other videos too. My question is, after checking the turn what are you really representing here thats credible? Lately I have read people as weak in many spots but am hesitant to raise because unless I can credibly rep a strong hand it seems like they will be inclined to call no? Love the content overall thanks for this
@jammflint84

Honestly it doesn’t matter what you are repping so much, this spot is over folded by population. Of course just be careful what board texture and what sizing they use, obviously don’t raise over bets without great blockers but vs the standard size, go crazy

What's the difference in raise sizings? It seems like utg is generally min raise and most other positions are 2.5x. Sometimes in other positions though you are min raising and it seems like maybe you are doing that with your offsuit/non pair combos. Is that what your strategy is?

Hi Saulo. Thanks for the great video. I was wondering, are there any ways microstakes players can access MDA without having to be in a CFP/stable? To be honest my results aren't good enough to get in any CFPs. The analogy I like to use is: CFPs/stables can polish rough diamonds, but they can't turn shit to gold, if you see what I mean. 😄

@kellegyheadshot 11 ай бұрын
I know I'm late, but I've played some 200 and 500NL on both, the difference is night and day. Stars is pretty much solid pros and one decent rec on the average table, GG is a clown show with 2-3 very bad recs on many tables and the regs are really weak too. GG 200NL is softer than Stars 25NL as I remember (haven't played in years though). The issue is ofc the rake, on Stars it's not bad on midstakes and low stakes is also bearable, you also get ok rb nowadays even if you win. GG midstakes is very heavily raked, low stakes is straight up robbery, and the rb is very little for winners. Haven't put in near enough volume to measure correctly as I'm mostly playing live nowadays, but I'd estimate GG is considerably more EV (esp during the day in EU), but not by as much as you would think by watching how bad people play on GG.

Can you explain the AQ hand at 15:30 a little bit?! It's a spot I never really considered before. It just seems odd to call it a bluff but since you don't have a made hand it makes sense. I'm just trying to understand the rational in a huge bet vs the sb range after flatting a 4bet it seems this board hits them very hard. 99, TT, JJ, 9Ts, JTs, QJs, QTs, KQs, QQ. I don't really understand what better hands we are trying to make them fold? I do understand that we have ton of equity vs his entire range and so betting in general really can't be a bad thing but for some reason having this as a bluff feels wrong. I'll trust the solver however! A side note, which I', not sure you mentioned the solver chart seemed to heavily favour the AQ combos with a spade for the jam and checking the non spade combos.

He was a thinking player, as much as afraid of clubs and KT as you, probably could've folded a set on scarry board like this. Should've already re-raised turn to see where he stands. It could've been profitable session, seems like you just we're unlucky to bluff the wrong players in later spots who wasn't as thinking ....J9 bluff to calling station with two pair and the donk who called all in with pair of J

There is an argument for calling with AK against people who are over aggressive post flop (according to Phil Galfond it puts more strong hands in our post range that can punish the post flop aggression)

Could you possibly explain the GGPoker HUD in detail and which information you derive from the numbers of your opponents? It was all a bit quick in this video (understandably so because you played). E.g. you marked someone as a reg or rec depending on the numbers. I found that quite interesting but did not fully understand it.

Hey mate. Those numbers are VPIP and PFR. VPIP means "Voluntarily put money into the pot", and refers to the percentage of hands dealt that that particular player decided to play. Generally, recreational players play too many hands (high VPIP), whereas regulars or professionals play around 25% of the hands they get dealt. The other stat is PFR, which refers to the percentage of the hands in which that player was the preflop aggressor. Recreational players have a big gab between VPIP and PFR, because they call too much instead of raising, so a lot of the hands that they voluntarily participate, they do so by calling preflop, so their VPIP is high and PFR is medium/low. Regulars and professionals on the other hand will mostly play as the aggressor preflop, so their gab between VPIP and PFR is usually low (4-6% only). Hope that helped!

@@saulocostapoker Yes thanks. I knew what the abbreviations stand for but what clues to derive from it is a whole other topic and I guess there is more to learn about it that would most probably exceed the attention span in the YT comments section. All in all a very interesting topic what to make out of all the data that is accessible these days. Just "having" it doesn't help anything. I need to know how to read it. Thanks again!

Hello Saulo, great video and great value, thank you :) I have a question about rake on GG, everyone saying that it’s very high there, but if you check primedope and compare rakes, so under nl50 GG has one of the best structures in industry. Yes, on nl50 rake is higher but not so much, so am I missing something? Why everybody just repeats the same? Thank you

You are probably missing that they rake preflop.

thats kind of interesting with JT9 that solver doesnt shove with any of its nutted hands. only like one class below nutted and bluffs with blockers. i don’t think this is something i can use in micros bc people hate folding in 3bet+ flops before the river (at least on bodova/iggy), i actually exploitatively shove flop/turn bc of this. but still that’s interesting to know.
