What is the point of this exercise? Isn't exposed metal going to continue to rust?

The point of this exercise is to clear of depri, Dust, Rust, corrosion, dirt and grime... 2ndly it helps in longevity of the parts life. 3rdly the chemical we used has rust free layer + rust resistant detergents in it

@@GMVlogs16 Can on you expound on how detailing helps in longevity of the parts life? I'm also very curious how these chemicals adhere to the metal as they seem to be getting washed away while getting sprayed.
