Can you do a longer video, detailing a full answer to an IStructE Part 3 Exam question. That would be really useful. Thank you.

Keep up the good work. You should considering making design tutorials for graduate structural engineers.

Any chance you could do a video on blue beam that you mentioned in this video?

Your content is really helping me get through this semester! Also may I ask how you determine the orientation of the columns? Thank you!
@EverydayDazz
@EverydayDazz 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Generally you want to rotate the column so that the major axis of the column is supporting the highest loaded beam or primary beam. Or if a beam is transferring a moment, you want the column to resist the moment in its major axis not its minor.

Great video! How do you choose the placement of the bracing at this stage?
@EverydayDazz
@EverydayDazz 3 жыл бұрын
In this example, I look for places where I can hide bracing within the walls and making sure they aren’t interrupting windows or doors. Stairs can be a nice place to put bracing. Try and avoid staggering bracing between floors but sometimes it can’t be helped. Staggered bracing better than no bracing.

Hi, thx for great videos 😊 working as an architect in Norway, Oslo Q: is it according to your knowledge any features from Morpholi trace (iPad app) that would be missing in Concept app that you are using. Its looks like my use off Morpholia is quite similar to your use of Concept. I desperately want more real estate on my pad (ie this looks like a great alternative Samsung Ultra S9, 14,6 inch). Problem is that Morpholio does not work on Androids I use all apple products so iPad is an important tool. The problem (subjective) with iPad is that its limits to 12.9 inch screen real estate. The Samsung S9 Ultra seems as an good alternative with 14,6 inch

I’ve not used morpholio to any great extent so unfamiliar with what it can or can’t do compared to concepts. I think they are similar apps. My favourite thing about concepts is that it is vector based and therefore the quality of the lines are amazing for exporting.
