Thank you for addressing the one thing I find many people don’t…you can’t sit inside someone’s house wearing a trench coat. An outfit can’t depend solely on that outer layer to make it whole, because it isn’t practical to leave that layer on all the time.

This was a better capsule wardrobe video than most. I’ve watched so many, where outfit after outfit they look like they are wearing the same thing! Yours has more variety, so they look like different outfits. Love the colors! You are right about anyone can wear any color-sometimes even a scarf if one of”your colors”. Can help balance. However if the color that’s not one of your best colors is in a large area, people will notice the color and not you when you enter a room! I’m a color analyst and a cosmetologist, and a blood red is one of my colors. It makes my face come alive! The first time I had my colors done the analyst was surprised at what that red did for me!

I've recently bought a white blouse which has a lovely frilly collar and actually it looks quite good on me and I put on gold coloured jewellry which makes it look great. I wish you were my personal trainer! I live in US. I'm 5'2" petite, average weight. You give so much common sense advice when dressing in style. I like white, ivory and cream tops but I tend to spill a tiny drop of liquid/food on my white top (sweaters not so much) and that's it, I have to throw it out, can get it out even with all the stain removers I try. I am glad you talked about colours because i think they are game changers. Like instead of pink I look much better in coral, instead of white I prefer off white or cream, instead of cooler beige I am better with camel etc.

THIS! This is so helpful! I never thought about why I can't make outfits and duh - colorful base pieces aren't easy to coordinate. I often avoid buying things that are too similar to another (i.e. same color) without realizing that they should have different purposes. Please do a fall/winter capsule version!

Always brilliant content Melissa, I love clothes but sometimes I forget to plan my outfits and then I don't look as put together as I should. I'm awful for buying high heels and wearing them once or twice a year, I liked the way you went through the shoes we should have in our wardrobe. I can see why your channel is growing so much.
