All of architecture, building and every venture that leads to the creation of anything begins with a concept. If you’re struggling to find one, curious about what one is, or wondering how architects begin their projects; this short course will walk you through the process we (at PAN SERVICES) used to design and (now building) our 900 capacity church design. Going forward, we would be discussing and illustrating how we developed building projects. So, stay tuned, relax, SUBSCRIBE and get ready to learn some design and creative tricks.
Design is more than a dialogue, it is a continuous flow of thoughts and intentions that starts with the end goal in mind and meanders through from the concept, through to opinion attachments to the eventual building design. In this Video I discuss the very basics of how we tried to develop a concept for the church, the process followed and ultimate achievement.
The Architect is usually saddled with the responsibility of maximally utilizing a given space. Optimal use of a given space requires the inputs of every stakeholder in the design process. We consulted the would-be occupants of the Church, the Clergy, the Client and other building industry specialists. The main aim was to ensure that all of us were solidly standing on the same page before full commencement of the design process. As expected, the design process was punctuated by series of design inputs from various quarters all catalogued into essential design decisions.
There were lots of important factors to consider apart from underlying human sentiments. Issues like Prevailing winds, site constraints, solar angles, local climate, vegetation, site's history, neighboring structures and others whose opinions when put into consideration would make for a fantastic design.
It is VERY EASY to come up with Architecture DESIGN CONCEPTS or Architectural DESIGN CONCEPT IDEAS.
