There is no way, there are no shortcuts to getting good and fast in a short period of time without practicing a lot 🤣 Exceptional content as always, thank you very much for the tips, Glauco!

Wow! That’s what I needed to see to calm myself down, because I sculpt slowly like this and thought it wasn’t the right way. If you want to make it fast - make it slow 😅 Thanks for video!

Funnily enough, it's the same with keyboard typing speed. Accuracy leads to confidence leads to speed.
@glaucolonghi8 күн бұрын
FOR SURE! Confidence is also a key component together with accuracy! Super important. Nice!
@aldoferdian60399 күн бұрын
no way man XD, your first example, you really recreated exactly how I sculpt - inefficiently moving things around until they look like the concept,
@glaucolonghi8 күн бұрын
all of us tend to do some of it, and digital tools allow us to do that, and there is no shame on it. But for the goal of practicing and developing accuracy, it works against it

Ive been thinking about this subject for some time now, i challenge myself to make a full body character as fast and as accurate as possible while tracking time. Each run teaches me something new Also looks like anatomy form simplification is on the way 🤩, i was meaning to ask

I always like to keep the poly count very low to force myself to focus on big shapes until it's not enough for the next level of smaller shapes. Also like you said doing daily speedsculpts for 30 days gave me so much confidence and experience I recommend it to everyone trying to get better at sculpting!

Nice video! I've been taking figure drawing classes here and there and the instructor talks about this quite a lot. In fact, when we do gesture drawings we are essentially practicing "brush economy"; focus on the essence of what you're capturing and think...THINK about what you're doing and why. It's an crucial concept in general that I think can be applied to many industries and hobbies not just art. We are all so used to moving fast that it can feel counterintuitive to slow down and spend more time thinking than actually doing. Looking forward to the next video!

Love this! This is completely different from the short-reels timelapse of people speedsculpting. We're already living in a fast-paced world; taking a step back and being intentional is much more important, speed comes second. Thank you for these exercises that you showed! Will def do them!

100%, thank you. I love speed and energy, but gotta balance it out with intention, boldness and intuition, which comes from thoughful practice in my opinion

Thanks for the video! Recently, a friend of mine got feedback from his art director saying he was taking longer than expected to deliver results. At the time, we discussed ways to improve, and this video perfectly explains how to be more efficient and save time. Super helpful! Glauco, it would be amazing if you could make career-focused videos too! Like, what art directors are looking for, what the industry expects, where to focus to improve, or even portfolio tips. Mixing that with your videos about sculpting and games would be awesome!

Brush economy in the long term is actually faster. It's similar in nature to, in my mind at least, to measure twice cut once. Which might take more time, in regard to the beginning stages, but will help to make better, more confident choices in the long run. Great video man!

Dear Glauco: I was thinking (maybe for future videos) that one of the structures where I noticed (on my self reflection) that I´m not having a clean workflow (as you mentioned just moving things around and bulking volumes until somehow getin the shape) is on the ears.. While I´ve got since long you "simplified anatomy" images as reference (and there so many videos out there about how to sculp each part of the face) I would love and really appreciate to see how you build each facial feature with this clean approach of generation of shapes. Maybe you can do (if it sounds good for you and the way you are developing your content) some short videos like this one for each facial feature or the face more in depth. Would be amazing. Thanks again!
