Thanks. Very helpful video, so lucky to have found it after days of browsing the internet and trying to troubleshoot this broken Vita I have. I Managed to get the system to boot by shorting the power switch, which means I need to order a new ribbon cable for the power button. Time to start figuring out if I have to buy a new screen as well as the sounds do come on but screen does not turn on..

Hey, two years later, Did you solved the issue with your screen? I´ve been having a similar issue, touch seems to work, based on the sound effects but there´s no image. I´ve already replaced the screen, and even tried with a whole new cpu, I´m lost and starting to think it has something to do with the battery maybe? If you could tell me how you solved yours, it would really help me

HOLY SHIT i did exactly what you did and it worked on mine. My phat vita was turning on and off by itself with the Power button and PS button aint responding. I ordered some replacement parts already before i saw this video. I guess i can just hang on to those just in case. THANK YOU SIR.

I have solid orange light when plugged in and won’t turn on. When I unplug orange light goes off and nothing. Any help would be great I’ve swapped a known good battery same thing. Also a know good power ribbon still same thing I’m now thinking power is not getting to switch

Haha by mine vita, orange light flashes. I ordered today a new Battery and cable it will come tommorow, if the problem ist still there. I‘m at the same points like you😅

@@ultimatesasuke7807 maybe i fixed it before 20 minutes, i opened the vita and the Charging port was the problem. I soldered a little pin that was lose, and then i conected in on my laptop to charge it. From now its charging and it goes on. So the main problem is the power cable if it doesnt charge with the correct power. The Battery if its old and cant charge properly ( so the battery pack i buyed is maybe unnecessary ) and the charging port pins can be loosen! My PS Vita has a Loose connection so i have to hold ghe charging cable in a certain position!
