I have this exact mower and that safety button is covered in the manual. My husband still hasn't figured it out yet. But I read the manual and I don't tell him, lol He comes in and says, "The damn thing won't start!" I'll go, really? Then I go out and start it for him after tightening that guard up against that safety button. OH it's sooooo much fun

Fantastic! Thanks so much, this was exactly our problem. A few hour's mowing ago we hit a buried rock that had exactly the right height and slope to bend the blade up and strike the metal skirt. It hit in just the right way to cut a slit and push up so that after a new blade, and some more mowing the mulching chute thing lifted up, releasing the safety switch! Your making this little video saved us a ton of time and aggravation -- much appreciated :D

That solved the problem I had when a branch struck and stuck on mulch guard switch which disable the ignition. I had the debris removed, and it worked like a charm. I saved lots of money and time by viewing this video. Thanks a bunch! Subscribed!

Hi Brad, Thank you so much for your trouble shooting ideas. Last night I charged the battery ,came inside and then watched your excellent video. After watching I knew it was the white safety push in button. I couldn't wait until morning . It was not the battery, it was that white button that was not engaged. The last cutting I did ,the grass was a bit too wet and was clogging up in the Shute. I unscrewed the bolts to remove the grass, and not knowing ,that is what happened. Thank you so much again .

Hit a rock and my mower wouldn't start at all... watched this video and found that it was the sensor switch on the side discharge that came loose. That little button just had to be tightened with the mulching plastic. Thanks for the advice, you save me a couple hundred bucks!

Dude you literally just saved my ass, my tb30 rider wouldn’t start , checked battery,fuses, pressure switch under the seat tightened up mt deck lever, nothing worked. I watched your video and sure as shit it was the pressure switch on the chute, was about the call the mobile mechanic dude to come fix it. Can u pleeeze do a tutorial on the blade and engagement fully. ...I'm kinda nervous about which handle to drop first. Does it matter which one I move first. I just got the craftsman R110 in Nov and have driven it around my yard several times to get use to it. My machine revs up fully but won’t return to low throttle even when I turn the throttle lever back. When I got the machine there was a governor control spring off. Yes sir, exactly my problem , but the cowling, blade cover assembly is rusted and it can not longer hold the safety switch in position...machine still runs great good and all. Looking to replace the whole bottom blade cowling part now. Thank you for the video btw.

The guard gets chewed up by those wingnuts (as I see yours has) and keeps popping off eventually. I created a 3d printable clip you can fit that eliminates that. I'll upload it somewhere and post a link.

My safety switch is in like your video. Safety switch for blade engagement and seat switch are engaged. Still will not crank. Battery is good.

Check the fuse. Check to make sure your blade engagement handle is all the way off? Check emergency brake switch.

Pulled this mower out of the neighbors trash and had gone through the machine - top to bottom - completely aware of the other 4 safety stops, NEVER knew about this guard safety stop, installed the mulch cover correctly and the machine fired right up .... not bad for a free mower!
