I pulled the trigger on a DSL20HR and today it just arrived. You made a big impact on my choice Greg as well as @LambChopper678 with his tone recreating videos. I use my amps mainly during gigs with my band which plays mostly 80's (and some '90s) classic heavy metal covers. The DSL going to be the perfect one for that now I'm sure of that and I'll definietly try ou your settings in the rehersal room! For now I can say it was a big improvement from the Randall RD20H I used until this day. It has a similar tonal character if tweaked right, but not as pleasant as the DSL and also more muffled as I A/B-d them. Until now I could not get right what was my exact problem with it, but A/B with the Marshall brought out what I was missing! I have purchased a 2x12 HB vintage plus cab with UK made Greenbacks and all I can say that cab is worth checking out! High quality, bang for the buck and for the 80's it sounds right I think! I'd love to see your oppinion on one of them sometimes as well! Huge thank you for your videos and the help they provide to people!

My experience is that if I can get a low budget Guitar let's say a Fender Squier or a Epiphone and adding new pickups and can get them to sound anywhere close to a Real Strat or LP on any Amp that's the one I've always bought. And the DLS20hr happens to be one that works well as does the 2266 V/M and my Laney IRT 60h. \m/

Only thing I had going on pedal wise was a little bit of reverb delay and a noise gate. All clips had same settings

@@shredaintdead9323 are you using ultra gain one or two? Right now I'm using the first one with the gain running at anywhere from 5 to 8 and then boosting with a ts-9.

Haha thanks! Yeah can definitely get those Tones with this. It's a crazy versatile amp. Put an overdrive in front. I use the xotic bb preamp overdrive. It slays!!!!

@@shredaintdead9323 Between you and Ola I'm sold on one. It arrives next Tuesday evening to compliment my PRS MT-15 which is a SICK amp in the same vein but with more of the American high gain tone. If you haven't jammed one I'd highly recommend it, but attenuated so you don't have to blow your ears apart to enjoy how good it sounds. lol

@@shredaintdead9323 I haven't ever had the chance to play through an Archon but I understand they are amazing and different than the MT15. I see the difference in cost isn't crazy either as the new ones are $999 and the MT is listing for $729 or so. I'm told the MT is more aggressive sounding and somewhat less refined than the Archon. I can say it's nothing like the Marshall tone. The MT sounds like a Mesa Dual Rec and an Uberschall had a love child on the red channel and the clean is absurdly good for the money. Good luck making a decision. It won't be wrong either way. \m/
