Beautiful. I want that die. I always thought you placed the waxed paper on the die then your cardstock. You placed cardstock then waxed paper. I will try it. Thanks.

Thanks so much...I will try the wax paper. Some of the intricate will cut on regular cardstock but not thicker metallic cardstock. So frustrating and wasting paper.

I just received my plus machine and have the HARDEST time cutting intricate dies. The A plate says to use a chrome precision plate but Sizzix says to not use the chrome precision plate.... What to do??? I also am curious if anyone else's plus machine has a solid roller as the bottom roller and a roller that is covered in metal... but is in sections butted up against each other. I keep wondering if this is why my dies do not cut very well at all in the machine. ( I did contact the company I ordered through and they sent out a new machine.... but the new machine is doing the same thing...no matter how many times it is rotated. This last time ... 8x through and not cut all the way in some places and cardstock is basically ruined. UGH) Any thoughts on cutting intricate dies and not voiding my warranty are appreciated!!!! I do have a precision base plate but it is separated and warped from using on a different machine so not sure I want to invest in another one. Thanks!!! Deb

Ojibway Dreams Thank you !! Yes, I have but it’s tricky getting intricate sticky pieces off. 😳 I recommend using a spray adhesive. Works so much easier!!! Hugs, Erica 💕💕

Hello Erica, loving all your videos! Can I ask what the purpose of the wax paper is? Is it the same as what we call baking paper here in Australia?
@lindagiles19115 жыл бұрын
No, sadly, we used to have proper baking paper here in Australia but it's not readily available anymore. Some online craft stores do stock it though. The wax paper was so well waxed that we used to iron dried flowers between to sheets and have pretty bookmarks.

By “baking paper,” you probably mean parchment paper (at least that’s what we call it in USA)? Wax paper is different than parchment paper, since it has wax on it and parchment paper does not.

Great tutorial.....thanks! I always thought I would put the waxed paper between the die and the patterned paper! Oops!

I’m so confused. What you did seems to work perfectly, but Sizzix clearly says NOT to use the chrome precision base plate on the Big Shot Plus machine. I think it even states that it can damage the machine. Also, I notice that you did not line up the cutting pad over the entire base plate and adaptor. Is that a tip or trick you’ve learned that works best? I just got my PLUS machine, and from the pictures in the instructions, it appears you are supposed to stack all the pieces. Just curious if stacking them was in fact not the correct way of doing it, or if it matters. Thank you!!

What is the purpose of the wax paper?
@ScrapDiva293 жыл бұрын
It helps release the die from the paper and the die.
