How to differentiate the exponential function easily

This video looks at how to differentiate the basic exponential function e^x.

e^t/4 = e^(1/4)t. Differentiate (1/4)t and you get 1/4.

question, since y=e^ax= ae^ax, shouldnt the example 2) y=e^5x+2= 25e^5x+2 since the derrivative of the inner function should use the y'= ae^ax rule which then in turn should be multiplied by the deriviatve of the outer function?
