So happy to hear that! I actually cut out quite a bit 😅

I'm loving your new cut! I also have fine, low density curls & I went to the same lady that you go to! She was the first person I allowed to cut my hair in 20 years. I just cut it myself after a very traumatic salon cut I got in the early 2000s. DeLand is like an hour drive for me & I have to take off work to go, so I haven't gone back but whenever I am able to, I plan on going back to her salon. 💜

Thanks! Yes, it used to be a trek for me but I only go 2x per year.

Tresseme has a spray you can use for frizz. It works great. It’s like $8 you spray it and dry. Continue to spray as I dry it. I have thick curls and now no frizz.

This is a great diffusing demonstration! When you are pixie diffusing, why don't you bring your hair up to your scalp?
@HolisticEnchiladaАй бұрын
Thanks! It can burn my scalp and the air flow is so strong you don't need to get that close.

I’m not familiar with Laifen dryers, very interested now! There are a few models, how do you know which is best for your hair?
@HolisticEnchiladaАй бұрын
I think any of them would be great. I have the Swift. You can look at the comparison chart on their product page and see the differences in each model. I think there's only 2 models, the others are additional colors and attachments.

A while ago I decided not to use even a leave in conditioner even though they are lighter. I find if I get my cleansing and conditioning right, I don’t need to add that step, just go straight to a gel. My hair needs least weight as possible. Another thing is that helps is, I’m not concerned whether my hair is straight, wavy or curly. I’m only concerned if my hair is healthy.

You have such a healthy relationship with your hair! 🙌🏽 This is my goal for everyone.
@MarcP5267Ай бұрын
@ took me a while to get a healthy relationship with my hair. My hair is extremely healthy now but it always wasn’t. I think it’s very important to use hair care products that are as water soluble as possible which reduces product build up. A brand that has products that are water soluble as possible rinse out easier than traditional brands. The hard part is finding a brand that works that is as water soluble as possible. The reason lots start having issues with their hair is from product and/or hard water buildup. They wonder why a product works then stops working. If the product was working and now it’s not, it’s not the products fault. This leads into becoming a product junkie. So you need a clarifying from product and hard water regiment. Even though a brand or product is as water soluble as possible, it’s still possible that you’ll get product build up because it’s not possible for a brand to be 100% water soluble. Depends on each individual hair type NOT curl type. The kicker though is most water soluble brands the products are on the medium to heavy side. Innersense Pure Harmony conditioner for instance is on the light to medium side even though it’s their lightest. I wouldn’t say it’s light but it’s light compared to other water soluble brands. For my cleansing and conditioning I use Raw Curls original cleanser and original conditioner. The conditioner is definitely on the medium to heavy side but provides great hydration for my hair. Why do I use a medium to heavy conditioner when my hair is fine but have a lot of it? I rather have my hair hydrated the best it can and my hair being a little heavy and elongated. Makes it juicy hydrated. Like I said I don’t care if my hair is straight as long as it’s healthy. To keep heaviness down from the conditioner I don’t ever use a leave in conditioner or a cream. Actually the result I get from juicy waves from the conditioner would be the same result I would get with a cream. But I don’t need a leave in or a cream. Our son who has the thickest hair and most dense hair you ever seen needs a cream for extra hydration. Just talking out loud here lol. I’m a guy who tried to take good care of my hair.

May I ask what’s your favorite shampoo and conditioner to easily detangle. I have 3A curls, dry and thin …. I was thinking of trying PROSE, bounce curl and between and treluxe… Which do you prefer?
@HolisticEnchiladaАй бұрын
TreLuxe, LUS, Bounce Curl, Kinky Curly Knot Today all have great slip. Haven't tried Prose so can't speak on that one.

Does using distilled water make a difference?
@HolisticEnchiladaАй бұрын
It leaves your hair softer than regular water and doesn't build up on the hair. Not sure if it affects drying time.
