Just got a ‘24 Corolla in late December. This lane assist feature almost gave me a heart attack. When it kicks in, it feels like I’m driving on a slippery road. Must disable it tomorrow.

Yea, it takes some getting used to, needless to say I am not a fan. However, it is fast becoming mandatory due to the Euro Ncap rating.

I have the '24 aswell and I have found that even when this function is turned off, it still comes on... albeit to a lesser degree than when it is on. Is it the same for you? I'm at my wits end with this thing.

@@NicoleV-tb5gf are you sure you are disabling it the right way? Mine has stayed off permanently. You need to keep pushing the “mode” button until this feature appears in between the tachometer and the speedometer. It’s called LDA (lane departure alarm). Just switch it to OFF.

​​@@NicoleV-tb5gf​ This Lta indicator is the dumbest feature in the history of cars. Every 10 seconds i'm driving it's beeping. If you need this feature, you shouldn't be driving. I hope Toyota has a way to disable this feature on my 2023 Camry. There's no way in history I'm driving this car with all this beeping. I would rather trade it in for a Honda Accord.

Thanks. Thought I liked lane assist as I bought my car in August. Works pretty good. It is now the end of November, and I just discovered tonight that lane assist is almost a death sentence on slushy roads! Thanks for the video, will be shutting it off first thing before heading to work tomorrow.

Stupid feature designed in a laboratory. In real world conditions it's a safety hazard 99% of the time, and they freaking make it mandatory on all cars.

Oh really, I hate it so do many others, but I like to be in full control of the car. It's very much a personal choice. It is certainly not a feature that is going away as the Euro Ncap rating requires it.
