How to disable MyKey using FORScan with only one key !

You relieved my of a headache. Thank you. Dealer sold me a car without admin key. If anyone is wondering I do have the subscription to FORScan. The $12 it costs is much cheaper than a trip to the dealer.

Just got a 13 Focus EV that came with one key. No Mykey warning. Bought and programmed an aftermarket Smartkey and every time I use that key, I get, MyKey speed limited to 80 MPH on the display. I don't care about the speed being limited, I just don't want to see a warning message every time I start it. I'm able to go to the display screen and go through the functions until I see, All Mykeys have been cleared, but as soon as I use the new key, the 80 MPH message comes back. Will have to try this in Forscan and hope I don't brick the car.

My forscan does not have engineers mode? How does this option appear? Is it related to the version or something else?

You don’t need engineer mode just edit it to disable and and click write and it deactivated my key for me

That’s how I was able to find engineering mode was at that top section

Nevermind, I had to downgrade the Forscan software to version 2.3.39 to be able to make it work

Did you get it to work? I had this same issue and found that you have to clear the profile. It worked for me after that!

It's called an ELM 327, they have to have a USB cable and a switch. Mine has no switch but it still works.

my battery wasnt fully charged to 15v and i had to jump it after trying, i still have mykey enabled.

That’s a common issue, try putting it on a trickle charger while programming. It’s not good to let the volts drop that low while inside the pcm
