How to Disable YouTube AI Dubbing?

I want to watch the videos in the native language. I am bilingual and also learn languages by watching videos in the native languages. How can we shut it off? I cannot stand it. It showed up for the first time today and I am very disappointed and I do not like AI voices. How as viewers can we turn this stuff off?

I was absolutely horrified when I heard the first AI dubbed video. I will ask my favorite creators to disable the feature. I am native German speaker but watch a majority of the content in English. More accessibility is not bad per se, but this is actually the opposite. Thanks for explaining and merry Christmass.

Thank you for this message! I am a viewer and KZbin AI dubbing has ABSOLUTELY destroyed one of my favourite channels, which is in French. I left a message for the creator after watching the first horrible video, and nothing has changed (so far). I started searching how I, as a viewer can disable this unwanted "feature" and haven't found anything yet. I am now going to link your video to them and hope 🤞that they disable it. Thank you again!!! I just got these videos on my feed overnight and I think it sucks too. If I’m watching something in a language other than English it’s because I understand it and don’t need to listen to it dubbed. I looked for how to remove it but now I know it’s the creator who can do this. :/

The worst part: as a normal user you get terrorized by the same crappy voice in every video uploaded by english or american creators. My guess is if youtube doesn't give us users a 'default language setting' the viewer numbers will go down. The only place I tolerate AI voices is in my sat nav/google maps.

Why can't I as a content consumer DECIDE if I want to have my content dubbed? It's ridiculous

Okay - that's great for us as content creators and I appreciate the lesson, but that still does not help when watching some others youtube videos that get auto-dubbed. It seems we cannot turn that off from a user standpoint? Very frustrating.

Yes it sucks that KZbin has it as the default. I have seen a couple of other videos where it is really bad. Now if they really want to do something that would help some people is to automatically make a sign language insert if someone wants that instead of closed caption as an option. I knew that you would dig deeper into it and discover what happened 🎉🎉😂😂❤❤

How do I do it for videos I watch, that they are not automatically starts in the AI-language but in the OG language?
