Yes you do need to keep making knife videos in a Batman mask Nick. The world needs more!!

Just pre-ordered this knife in the blue. My hardest decision was which blade style. I ended up going with the clip point but the wharncliffe blade is interesting too. Looking forward to receiving it. Nice video Nick. It was good seeing the takedown of the knife and seeing the makeup of it inside.
@thepracticalblade90134 жыл бұрын
Wharnie is definitely more interesting, imo, but as someone who sharpens and mirror polishes their own knives, I stay away from tantos, recurves, etc... not impossible, just not something I want to think about.

Nick, great video as always. That pivot tool looks like it makes it a lot easier to get back together

I was having a problem getting the pivot pin through, then I pulled the Able lock, and it dropped right through. And that was, you know the thing.🔪

I love watching the disassembly videos, but I find myself wondering what tool Nick is using - the pocket drill bit holder. Who makes that?

Wow! That was beautiful to watch.

I have that knife with a zt 0560 deep carry clip. I really like it
@ibnhall4 жыл бұрын
Where did you find the deep carry clip?

IbnHall Sr. It’s from mxg gear and it’s for the 0450 not the 0560.

I carried my 580 barrage with assisted Axis and after seven years of hard carry it was pretty dang clean when i finally disassembled it. And voided the warranty. Lol

Do you know how to takes the thumb studs off of the Hogue Deka Ver1? No one seems to put a video out about it. Is it a special tool the Hogue uses? No torque bit fit?
@NathanKrick4 жыл бұрын
I believe Hogue calls it Blue Lava g mascus, not "Peacock G10." :-)

Where can I find that pivot tool you used to get the pivot screw back in? I checked the Amazon list of tools but didn't see this and it looks like it would make putting my Bugout back together way easier.

Whats the secret with your loctite stick, I have two stick of that and mines nowhere near the consistency of yours. Yours is almost wet on the screw like the liquid form would be and mines like a gel almost. I end up having to apply it inside the female side of the pivot. It doesn't say gel on it but its almost like a jello consistency. Its also semi transparent as well which yours dont seem to be. Ive been meaning to ask this for a while and I know its kind of a weird question.

Imported the Deka to the Netherlands.., used it for a month, sold it.. de action, compared to zt0452, felt like a toy.. all in all I'm not fan of the axis mechanism and the handle too short for my taste. I ended up equipping the pocket sword with taco bearing, its so good, you have to give those a try Nick.

Why does the thumb ramp look fine with the wharncliffe and not on the drop point?
@jonnypescado13 жыл бұрын
I really like this blade shape. I really like the 20cv. I really like the lock. I really like the action. I hate the scales.

@John-oz1do3 жыл бұрын
Able lock is the axis lock without the patent which expired.
@Errcyco2 жыл бұрын
That is a fuckin gnarley knife internally. I don’t wanna deal with all that crap. Luckily with my use I’d never need to take it apart

Batman had a Big "O". The Deka comes with a drop point blade too.

I maintained my Deka on arrival and made it so smooth it has become illegal. My Deka now swings open with a simple flick without touching the lock. Making it basically a gravity knife which is illegal in Hawaii. Any idea how I can tighten it up a little?
@Rust.Bucket4 жыл бұрын
Its not illegal in Hawaii, unless its spring assisted AND button/switch operated.
@rgpshawaii4 жыл бұрын
David B Knives that open by inertia are illegal in Hawaii (2) by operation of inertia, gravity, or both, www.honolulupd.org/information/index.php?page=deadlyweapons
@Rust.Bucket4 жыл бұрын
@@rgpshawaii Lol. I stand corrected. Thats asinine; anything can be opened with enough inertia!
@rgpshawaii4 жыл бұрын
@@Rust.Bucket I agree. I used to live in NYC and they have same rule. It's a standard joke that NYC cops practice strong wrist flick open so they can arrest pretty much anyone with a knife if they want to, haha.

Resonance is when a vibration stimulates the vibration of a component.
@NickShabazz4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Every component has resonance, but it's not quite wise to equate 'induced vibration from external vibration' with resonance directly.
@easyki844 жыл бұрын
@@NickShabazz I can't descripe it good enough in English. But I try. What you describe is a Natural frequency. Every component has a Natural frequency. When you stimulate a component, then it's resonance. When your stimulating frequency matches the natural frequency of the compenent, the resonance is at highest. That could even damage the component.
