The contempt Nick has for this knife is so funny to see. Rare form.

It is a nice budget knife.. I think it should be in the budget knife of the year awards..!

Hard to beat out the two top contenders in that category, the Kershaw Conceirge and Oso Sweet. But it could be in the running for the Bronze.

I think you were a little to far zoomed in in this video Nick! A lot of what you were doing was out of frame haha.cant wait for the review!

I totally agree with 13irishsailers. I was most curious about the position of the long and short screw of the pocket clip. Should have paid attention to which hole they came from, but wether you took the clip off or not was off camera as was a lot of the action. You're usually much better Mr. Shabazz.

That loose keyed pivot keeps it from jostling loose when you flip it a lot but still retains a keyed pivot

A honeybadger is my EDC. I love the action. Just wish the steel was better than 8cr13.

pretentious snobbery. What kind of armored cardboard box are cutting the rest of us aren't? There is nothing in the whole rest of your life that a pocket knife is appropriate for that that steel isn't going to be able to do.

@@jacknemo8021 Screw me for having an opinion. Maybe some of us dont like sharpening or using a strop after a day using a knife on the farm. I guess they should stop producing D2 and all other steels.

I cut hard plastics and synthetic materials every day, I used to rotate knives because I'd dull them in a day (couldn't cut cardboard at the end of my shift) and would sharpen them over the weekend. I bought my first 20CV knife years ago now and haven't looked back since Don't get me wrong I have no issue with 8cr, Aus 8 or any other budget steel but they don't work for me in my life. Trust me you get spoiled having a blazing sharp knife that only needs stropped once a month, lol
@Sasquatch2146 жыл бұрын
@@DanielReyes-hz1qk agree I do warehouse work and steels like 8cr and aus8 just werent cutting it I was cutting open and breaking down so much carboard,straps,Rope, zipties , etc it would go dull midway through the day.I upgraded my lowly crkts and kershaws to a manix 2 in s30v and the difference is night and day. for me to go back to "lower end steels" every thing else about the knife better be damned impressive.
@jacknemo80216 жыл бұрын
@@ClarenceKansas every knife of any steel needs a strop after a days work, see what I mean, pretense. You get called out and fall back on weak alt left tactics, pretending to be "offended". Weak as water.

I have a question to the Kershaw Atmos: the detent is very strong! So strong that I cut my finger on the sharp gimping from the pocket pecker. It's not because the pivot is too tight or it's not lubricated properly. The hole in which the detent rests has to sharp edges so it doesn't roll over properly. Should I take away some material from the edge of the hole or should I take down the detent ball a little bit?

The hell? The other end of the big screw just popped out like it was nothing… mine has always been stuck… Update, got it apart I was thinking it was going to just be rust in the little hole where it sits but no, it was litterally just that the parts weren’t machined for each other’s tolerances, the flat spot had maybe 1/32 of space in between it but somehow the corners of the barrel hit the hole before the flat spots ever met… still my favorite knife though

I still don't own one of these, yet. Why? It's complicated. However, I have handled several and I will say this sadly but as a matter of fact based opinion: These are slightly better quality than I feel Nick gave them credit for in his original review. They are much better constructed than a benchmade griptilian. That hurts me deeply to say but..... Griptilians have 2 things going for them. (I'm not counting made in USA which should be a credit that ordinarily go without saying) fmFirstly, the Axis lock. If you don't know why these are great thing then I dont know what else to say. Secondly, they have decent blades to use as a starting point for building a decent knife that is wildly overpriced. I prefer to use a grip kit by Applied Weapons Technology. They are unbelievable and make a griptilian, and select other knives, what they should have been from the start. Honey Badgers are just better made and at a 1/4 of the price. If they would put a bar lock similar to the Axis lock, they would be very near perfect. I could say much more but I would only be repeating what had already been said time and again and should be obvious.
