I appreciate you making this video, it was vital help to reassemble an 1998 BD Sear Cage assembly after a repair, great detail and explanation!

Most instructional video yet. I did not have to take apart the sear assembly though. I only needed to replace the disconnector

Excellent video and excellent trigger kit. This replaced some Cajun Gun Works parts that I installed . Overall I like this kit better. Two things about the video first installation of the hammer pins, the small hammer pins need to be Staked. My pins worked loose causing the hammer to lock up. Second if you mess up getting the sear pin out while putting the slave pin in and the tiny spring falls out, like what happened to me. Check out "camera test cz decocker sear cage assembly". Another excellent video.

Thank you Apex for this excellent video. This is easily the best video for working on the sear cage of these fine pistols in regards to production quality, clarity of camera angles and precise narration. A+

I just finished upgrading my phantom. I would say its easier in some aspects harder in others. Like the Sig P365, you have to remove two pins thats keeping the subframe; one serves as the pivot for the hammer. Then you can draw out the subframe and then push the sear cage pin through to free the sear cage. I wish I made a video of it.

Nice video. High quality closeup images. The hardest and most frustrating part for me was getting the bottom magazine brake hook in the right spot. I was placing it in the right spot, but once I inserted the bottom pin, I didn't understand why the mag brake was shifted too high. Then I discovered, once you have your mag brake hook is in position, you must keep it pushed down into the lanyard loop so the bottom pin goes INSIDE the hook and not below the hook. EDIT: On second thought, isn't the bottom pin is supposed to go under the brake hook and not inside it?

This is the clearest video on the topic, and rightly so - y'all made the action kit. Will there be a video for the CZ-75B thumb safety model? It's what I've got and I don't trust myself to omit steps for the decocker version. Other videos on the topic are of poor quality.

Do you have to swap the hammer out for the apex hammer for the kit to function properly? Or can the factory hammer be used?
@apextactical4 ай бұрын
@AndrewCMC our hammer hooks are cut the the correct height and angled to match the sear to produce the results we state on the site. Using the factory hammer may not produce the desired results.

That's a great video, thanks for taking the time to do it this is going to save me a ton of work and time Where did you get that hammer? I want one just like it, thank you
@iZephiroth Жыл бұрын
I attempted to install it twice today and every time I put the sear cage back onto the frame the double action doesn’t work and the hammer doesn’t cock back. Incredibly frustrating as I have a gun that no longer functions.

Could you please identify the name of the micro size spring inside the optional ambidextrous right side decocker lever? My new CZ splattered the right decocker lever all over the table even down to that pushpin. Recovered everything but the spring and I can't seem to order the right one...
@JimmyLeeJr4 жыл бұрын
This might be a silly ask. They only break it down to the level of the entire right decocking lever in the CZ manual. Probably gotta buy a whole new one or get CZ to do it
@JimmyLeeJr4 жыл бұрын
Ok I found the entire right decocker lever is just $5 on cajun gun works. No need to bother with micro springs
@jettferox56604 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyLeeJr Hmm...The SP-01 right decocker lever is $25 pretty much everywhere including Cajun. That's without shipping. Been that for years. You must have got a misprice.

PLEASE do a video version for the SP-01 Phantom, its very different than a steel or aluminum frame CZ w/decocker. I pulled some hair out after losing the trigger return spring. Thankfully, my wife found it after I ordered a replacement one.

The pins walk out and hit the frame, seizing the hammer if you don’t stake the hammer pins. This is a vital step or you’ll end up with a dead trigger. This isn’t in the directions.
@jwmeitzler26712 жыл бұрын
Exactly! This happened to me also. The disconnector pin is the main problem. The Apex pins are so loose that they almost fall out. I don't understand why Apex does not insist on staking those pins. Why do you think CZ stakes the hell out of them.
