How to disassemble the FANATEC CSL Elite Wheel Base

Just a quick video showing some steps while disassembling the Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel Base.
I could feel an annoying gap in my wheel shaft, so I printed a shim with the exact thickness in order to delete this play.
Below you can find either the shim 3d file for the gap problem, and also another link for wider pulleys (intended to remove a "clunk" noise by increasing the tension of the belt):

This gave me an idea but really didn’t help at all, like why did you take the whole wheel assembly out and wish you showed how to remove the actual wire. 😢maybe someone on here has done it and found a way to remove it.

Hi there. So, all the wire connections are simple plastic fast connectors. It shouldn't be hard to loosen them. I tried to show at least a picture of all the wire connectors for reference. If you manage to disassemble all the mechanical parts, you should have no trouble figuring out the electrical ones.

@@scmafia7515 The main purpose of this disassembly, and probably it's not clear in the video, was to remove the annoying axial play on the main shaft... that's why I had to totally break it down in order to install the printed shim. I'm glad to hear that :)

hiya - i have one here that has had all the plugs cut off and im trying to figure out what wires go where - i particulat that black earth lead that bolts to the alluminium panel thanks

Hi i recently broke my CSL elite’s usb port. Any suggestions onto fixing it? Should disassembly from the bottom? or the top? If I have to disassemble it from the top, do i have to take off the main machine(belts, and etc) too?

How did you seperate the motherboard from the motor? My USB-B Port is broken sadly and I want to change it. Sadly the table clamp is also broken at the bottom (the base has quite a bit of wear due to high usage in the last couple of years).

hey bro Im trying to figure out how to unclip the wheel connector from the base do you have any idea? Ive already disconnected it from the main board inside.

@@Ultimatebeatdastreet The 15th pic. The black connector where the pins from a wheel connect to the base. I had one of the pins on my wheel break off and got stuck in the base. I have the replacement connector I just cant get it out

also the last picture the cable going thru the main shaft is what I need to replace but I dont know how to unclip it

@@DopestKush hi Sorry for the delay. I don't know why I don't get any notification... You mean the connector at 2:16 right? I remember that it was really hard to unclip some of the connectors from the board. Sorry mate, but I can't give any further feedback... Not until I have disassemble it all over again
