How to disconnect Pressure Washer Hose Accessories

Been subscribed for a while, but finally saved enough in the budget to start my pressure washing business. A $2000... 1500 for pressure washer and the rest of hoses, surface cleaner etc. But if you started over from scratch with 500 for marketing, what would you do? The plan I have is to start with 100 lawn signs, and use before and after pics to start a Facebook page, then flyers after that??

UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Thanks for your help. Could not release power washer wand at gun and at motor. I released the pressure in the wand and I heard some air release. Quick release worked.

Yep the hose has pressure on it he won't be able to uncouple it unless you get all the pressure off of it

💥 Thanks man. You made it look too easy. my white tip is stuck in the quick disconnect and it will not come out even though I’m trying to do what I think you’re showing. I am pushing the tip in and then pulling back on the collar and the tip only comes out so far and stops it spins around, but it won’t pull out any further. I have the same stuck situation with another wand that the quick disconnect is stuck on my 15 inch surface washer same exact situation. that’s two pieces of equipment down with this stuck quick disconnect dilemma. Do you have any further advice, my friend?

I've had that same problem off a stuck or can't disconnect, but found if you turn the water pressure back on it disconnects no problem.

It's easy to show it on a quick connect that's not seized up. I got a hose that's seized up on both sides. At the motor and the attachment. Can the heat from the machine make them expand and bind up?

No not really. If you connect and disconnect them every so often will help keep these from rusting up.

I found this video when I was researching my other problem. I'm sure this will help! I disconnected the attachment when I had soap in the pressure washer. When I came back, soap had leaked out. Is there a cap I can get to stop this from happening in the future or what should I do? If it is possible to remove the soap container, I don't see how to do it. It is a Ryobi ry141600.

Watched your video on mix tanks 50 50 mix with roof snot in it I have just got 2 8gpm machines and I had to mix 75 25 just to clean a house downstreaming. I thought this was strong. I have a question about the ball valve. Just purchased one from mi-t-m through my local paint store. Looks heavy duty and it’s very heavy to have it on the end of hose next to my gun. My question is that it’s not easy to close it and open when the machine is running. Watched lots of videos with guys using a cheaper and smaller one with smaller handle. I paid about $100 for it. Should I get a $35 one? Are they all hard to close the valve?

When my pressure washer is on I’m unable to take my gun off but when I turn my pressure washer off I’m able to take it off and I brought new ones but it’s still doing it and I don’t wanna keep on turning my pressure washer off just to change from my gun to surface cleaning

Same thing make sure pressure off of it and push together and try to work the coupling loose. some times i have had to unscrew from hose where they have put a groove in it and wont release

Sometimes it just won't come apart and you actually got to unscrew them. But make sure you had release the pressure
