How to disconnect Toyota fuel lines

Thank you So Much!!! I just bought my first Toyota (2004 4Runner) and I had to replace the knock sensors. I got to this point and started prying on the button, that didn't work, then I only saw one button and thought, that wasn't it either? Since it was near the firewall, I didn't know that there was a second button. You probably saved me from destroying the clip. Keep up the good work!!

Very helpful video-much appreciated. This helped me with the firewall connector on a 05 Scion xB to free up the fuel line for replacement of the fuel injectors. It is people like you that give us confidence to try maintenance on our own rather than paying a mechanic to do it. Thank you again!

Your videos are fantastic! My wife and I love Toyotas. I've got a 1998 4Runner and she's got a 2000 4Runner both with the 3.4 V6. I'd love the 3rd Generation 4runners because I can fix 99.9% of the stuff on them, they're just wonderful vehicles. On my wife's Toyota on a 2000 4Runner the fuel pump quit at about 230,000 miles about 7 months ago. I went ahead and watch some videos drop the field tank and change the out the fuel pump. I got a lifetime warranty fuel pump from O'Reilly's here in Tucson, Arizona. Anyway that fuel pump quit today and I've done all the troubleshooting and I know that's what it is. I don't want to go through the big process of having to drop that field tank again. That's an awful lot of work. Anyway, I want to know I it does have under the driver side passenger seat a big access panel that goes to the electrical lines and stuff and what I'm thinking of doing what I saw some other videos about this, is actually going in their opening up that hole making it bigger and pulling the fuel pump out from the top. My question is do you think I'm crazy? I could really use your feedback and I really do enjoy your videos. I can't always understand your accent, but that's okay! (Lol)!! After your suggestion to clean it first. I sprayed wd 40 on it and it lubricated it enough for me to squeeze the tabs and pull it out. Thanks so much for sharing this video. Now I will be able to continue with dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump on this 08 Toyota scienna. Making my wife hapoy.

Nice video. I wonder if you could show how to drain fuel out of a Prius C, without dropping the fuel tank? For example, how to disconnect the fuel line under the hood, and how to power the fuel pump with a 12-V power supply? Or is there a way to jump the fuel pump relay?

Yes, first gen Scion xB (04-06) this type of box connector is used for the fuel rail connection at the firewall.
