With the added launch angle from slicing, wouldn’t the racquet face need to change more than 12.5deg (let’s say about 30deg) to account for the ball getting pulled towards the T by the cut?

I do have a question Are you using the same grip for both serve locations on both courts? If you are using different grips, what are they? Thanks

I am using the same grip for all types of serves. I don't recommend changing the grip slightly more to the backhand for topspin serves except for high performance players who will put in enough repetitions with both grips to master them.

Hi Tomaz, amazing video as always? I have couple questions related to the topic : First, how many years of training will it takes to be able to do such an impeccable accuracy? Because for me, even after months of training, I am happy enough when my serve lands in the box with decent power. Second, can we disguise serve the same way when we're playing doubles? Since the serve is done close to the single lines rather than centre line. Thanks

Thanks for the kind feedback! Well, if your serve technique is solid then the main issue is repetition. It's the repetition that improved accuracy, of course assuming you are all the time aiming at some targets. I can't say exactly how many years, but ideally you should hit about 200 serves per week. The more the better... At rate I would estimate that you would have much better accuracy after about 2 years or so... And yes, you can disguise the serve the same way in doubles...

What did you change in the kick serve that made it go down the T instead of out wide?

Well, my first answer would be that I just AIMED at a different spot. So the change was in my mind, not really in my body. Imagine throwing darts - and you aim a bit left of the bull's eye on first throw and then you aim a bit to the right of the bull's eye and you managed to hit both targets quite accurately. If I asked you what did you change, what would you answer? ;)
