I first saw that last tip, using the syringe, in your presentation in Bucharest and it blew my mind! I used to have a multi compartment tray on my instrument tray, filled with NaOcl and it was really cumbersome and anxiety inducing. As you showed, it works beautifully with the master cones too! This tip alone was worth the price of admission 😊 Take care!

Very valid and practical issue. I have developed a device to deal with exactly this situation ( patent granted) and prototype ready. Hopefully soon will be launched commercially

Spinning the sealer or calcium hydroxide down using rotary files in reverse makes sense. What about reciprocating files that cuts in counter clockwise motion such as Waveone Gold or ESR CM? Should we run them in clockwise direction instead? What is the reasoning for designing files that cuts in counter clockwise direction? My guess is they were proprietary cutting motion when they first came out, but why would newer files also follow this design. There are very few motors supports OTR/ATR in clockwise rotation.

@@ZACY1234 it’s another option…. But it’s one more tool adding expense.. but certainly works as long as an RPM no higher than 500 and stay short if apex. Problem with Kentuckian is usually no stopper to manage length.

This is a great questions. I have never seen a scientific head to head anywhere (if you find one let me know) But keep in mind that Formaldehyde containing cements are not popular as formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. This is why since the advent of bio ceramic and hydraulic cements the whole movement for VPT has gone to try to use these types of cements for VPT instead of Formaldehyde containing materials. But a proper search of the literature is helpful. To also be transparent, I've never used Pulpotec as these materials are not allowed in the US due to this chemical component that's banned for use. Hope this helps.

I liked this idea, specially spinning the file counter clock wise which makes a lot of sense. How do you like the lentullo for this purpose? Would that add too many air bubbles? Is it an alternative too?

@@jackcosta also possible but one more tool adding expense. A file has a stopper and allows you to stay 1 mm short of actual length.

@@SC-jj3bz I wrote the IFU for XP Endo in the US when it was originally launched. So, I’m very familiar with it from when it was a prototype to later on. It’s another way to do instrumentation. It’s theoretically superior but has clinical implementation challenges that limits its use to specific situations where access to canals is available. They shine in more advanced clinician’s hands and I would not qualify them as basic instruments. But excellent for retreatments for sure.

There will be a lot of content on irrigation in the coming year. My personal views on it are evolving but I will definitely make a lot of videos on irrigation in 2025. It's the next big frontier. :)
