Too often nowadays photographers forget to show off their best photos!

I am so glad you expressed how important prints are, still are. Currently too many people only stop at uploading an image, they don't want to hold it anymore. Sure a screen makes an image look good, but a print does so much more. Especially large prints. I believe size matters when it comes to certain images. And a print is permanent. Unless it burns up you can keep it forever. HArd drive or a disc goes, that's it.

The great problem with that I figured is to do it right! I live in Berlin and I didn't find till now someone who really cares about my photos I want to print. Almost they don't have a clue about the technology...or they are in a hurry or something else... What I want is someone, who is lookin with me on my photos and tells me of the workflow I did to them fits for printing....tells me what he thinks works best...but yeah it seems such company is hard to find. Another question I have is: Is it ok to enlarge the Photos with Lightroom to get the pixels you need for larger prints with 300dpi? Is there a rule on how much is the max to enlarge? What is the downfall at all? Losing details? Lookin forward to your answer...Stephan

Hi We use a Powis photobook press which pressure bonds the images back to back and you end up with a rigid lay flat book. We do 10x8 and 12x12 inch books.

When will you be doing a video on the process of resizing a file and printing in large format like the ones on the wall and the floor in this video? Information I'd like to know is minimum camera requirements, proper resizing technique, and specifications for PPI to create a large high quality image. Are the large prints on the wall 300 ppi?

I cant tell you the exact price, but canvases are pretty expensive. I did a 40inches x 60inches canvas print and it cost me $500 US Dollars to print and get the wooden frame. And this place is local to me so didn't have to worry about shipping costs.

photography isnt art. Its more like decor. Taking 200 photos and picking the best one, running through filters and calling it art really dilutes the real artists that spend hours and hours in brush strokes or sketching from a blank canvas. Photographers call photography art but most artists gringe at the definition.

That sounds a bit off, since the definition of art is subjective to the artist, art in itself is an expression of self, so if someone can't get certain shading right in painting, or proportions are off in drawing and painting, but they can get their idea across in photography it in itself is still art. Likewise, you wouldn't tell a musician they aren't creating art, or that a dancer isn't an artist, they are all forms of art, it is just a more 3-dimensional style of art, likewise with music, it still hits the soul like art does and is supposed to.

Photography can be art of done for art, or it ain't art of not done for art. First you would need to define an art, and that is basically everything that pleases viewer. It ain't politics or activism, while even those can use art to bring their message out. An photographer who spends years to visit same locations to find a composition because can't use a weather as pleases is more artistic than a painter who paints an amazing painting in half an hour from an living room warm? So your argument would be that an photographer who prepares for work, hikes hours for location, masters the camera, comes to studio and makes the photographs and then makes the prints, is less artist than one who makes whole painting in a 20-30min?
