Many years ago my neighbor put an addition on his house. He asked me if I wanted his pachsandra. I planted it around my wooden deck. It has done very well and it has spread out. It requires no care and doesn't even mind all the heavy snow we get here in Upstate New York. It is a good ground cover.

Hi Nancy. That's so great to hear that this ground cover is doing so well in your landscape. I'm looking forward to adding it to my yard next year! 💗🌼
I love your videos. However, Japanese pachysandra is considered invasive in the U.S. Please consider promoting the many native ground covers in your area.

Thank you for your comment. I do appreciate it and I agree that this plant can be a thug in the garden. Some great native alternatives include Canada Wild Ginger (Asarum canadense) and Foam Flower (Tiarella cordifolia). I'll be sure to promote those as well as other native ground covers in my area. 🙏🏼💗🌼
