Thank you for this video tutorial. I just purchased your template. I also just purchased a jigsaw. Did you say it’s better to use a “squirrel saw blade?” I can’t find that in store. Is it safe to use a blade set instead or did I hear you incorrectly? Thanks for your help.

Hi, thank you for your support! For these cuts, especially the small circles it is best cut using a scroll saw blade. They are thinner than the standard general blade that comes with the jigsaw. This allows it to make smoother smaller cuts than a general all purpose blade. Especially for a beginner you will feel the difference making circles and curves with the scroll saw blade on the jigsaw vs the all purpose blade on the jigsaw. But yes can be difficult to find at a store. I normally have to buy a pack of assorted blades to get 1 or 2 scroll saw blades in the jigsaw pack. But you can find them online. You do not have to get this one, but one similar that is a scroll saw blade made for a jigsaw. Also make sure the end shank will fit into your jigsaw as they make two kinds. Hi, thanks for watching. I am using a scroll saw blade that is made to be used with a jigsaw. Which makes those small round cuts much easier than a standard jigsaw blade. Good luck!
