Yes I can’t wait to try it. Simple question it valid to me. How do get the screws not to come through the right side up? What is the width of the wood vs screws. Lowes told me i have to cut the screws.
@MakerDecor2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you. The width and screw length with all the sizing information is in the plans I have put together in the description below. I made sure the screw lengths match up perfect with the plywood used, so it does not poke through to the front. You will not have to cut the screws with this design. Good luck!

Hiya, thanks for this video I've watched it like 16x to make sure I get it right - I live in the UK so our measurements are different but could you advise what would you used here and what thickness is it possible to use MDF wood at 9mm thickness?
@MakerDecor6 ай бұрын
Hi, yes you can use MDF. The size I used was closer to 12mm. So not sure about the 9mm. Also if you use MDF, make sure to use a mask as that is harmful to breath in when cutting.

and how you like that Jig saw compare to the red one?
@MakerDecor2 жыл бұрын
I like the Ryobi jigsaw more because it has a blower that blows down at the blade. So I dont have so much saw dust blocking my view of the line, like I did with the Milwaukee Red one. But also the Milwaukee was made more compact and they just did not integrate that small blower in it. Their larger more expensive Milwaukee jigsaw does have it. But the Ryobi one works great, especially for the price.

Are you making these to sell or to rent out? I'm looking at making similar venue decorations to hire out here in the UK, but have got no idea how to set the rental prices
@MakerDecor2 жыл бұрын
We use to rent out. But now I just show people how we built them. The number one thing with rental prices are location. Where you live will determine the market. What rents at one city doesn't mean it will rent at that same price in your city. I would follow the pricing set at your market and go from there as you skills and product grow. You can call/ message other rental places near your location and get an idea of what they rent at so you know your market. You definitely do not want to undersell the market as that hurts your profits and the market for events. Hope this helps.

Do you use 1/2 or 3/4 for your backdrops?
@MakerDecor Жыл бұрын
Hi, it changes on what I am building. But I almost always stay away from 3/4 if I can. It is too heavy to transport and requires a lot of weight in the back.

Are you using 1/2 inch plywood or 3/4 inch or 1 inch?
@retroemoji9722 жыл бұрын
Where do you get your plywood from? And what price because homedepot I can only fine some rough ones
@MakerDecor2 жыл бұрын
Yeah Lowe's lumber is nicer sometimes but is a little more sometimes. You might have to check another Home Depot or Lowe's they both sell it under the name sanded plywood. Before the pandemic I use to pay around $35 for a 4ft x 8ft sheet of 1/2 inch. Now I pay about $55 at Lowe's for the sanded plywood. Also pricing changes per your location, I am in Texas. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.
