how much grain n spawn does it take to get to 3 inches in both sizes?
@Holonet0122 күн бұрын
Problem with those Wally World gasket tubs is after not terribly long, the plastic nubs that make the "hinge" to the latches break.

True, but then you go to wally world and pop a couple off ;)

Do you ever fan or mist after spawning?
@RealSimpleMushrooms20 күн бұрын
No generally during the first flush...unless the strain throws really large fruits. Those I will mist 2-3x a day...no fanning. One of the most important things you can do is to make sure your substrate is properly hydrated....this should in theory be enough moisture to support your first flush. If you live in an especially dry area, you might need to mist and if you find your tubs are drying out constantly then I would suggest trying an unmodified monotub.

What size holes do you use for the 32 quart
@RealSimpleMushrooms20 күн бұрын
I would use 2" holes
@xzab50679 ай бұрын
Great video! Would size of the holes be the same for a 32 quart tub?
@RealSimpleMushrooms9 ай бұрын
So I use the 7/8’s for 32qts but I drill 3 holes in each long side spaced evenly. You could definitely go 1.5-2” and 2 holes on the long side as well but I find the 3x 7/8’s work just fine and I run a lot of 32qt’s

@@RealSimpleMushrooms I'll give that a try, thank you! Looking forward to more of your videos!

this mthrf talkingt about airflow berfore drillin
@cmmnsenserules433923 күн бұрын
Its funny people constantly think abd say the top holes are the exhaust. Thinking "warm humid air rises" yes, true, however the less humid air coming in at the top, mixes with high rh air, which then sinks, and pushes the Co2out the bottom holes, while still proving fresh air to the cske, also allowing it to continue rehydrsting the surface.. and i hsve science.

Heyo! Just getting started on learning about mushies, but ive got a question abt this setup. Why exactly does air come in the top and CO² out the bottom? How does the airflow/air exchange actually work in that sense? Redundant question, but im just curious. Keep up the great work! These videos are wonderful :)
@RealSimpleMushrooms10 ай бұрын
C02 is heavier than air, so it settles at the bottom of the tub the lower holes are to let the C02 out and the top holes are to let fresh air in. There has to be some airflow in the space your tubs reside to help the process along.
