Every video should be like this! Quick, to the point, no useless talking, no talking about how great they are and how much experience they have. Thank you so much

Loved this video!…..I’ve got no patience for slow, long talking videos and so I loved that you made it fast and simple to follow without all the banter! My foam, batting and new stapler are waiting for me to get started! Thanks again! Sincerely, Old retired lady!

I came to learn how to restore my chairs, and I stayed for the excellent and entertaining video. Loved the comment about the staples for the next reupholsterer!

Nice video 👍Removing the staples.... I just used six hours of my weekend removing staples and fabric from five seats. Definitely worth it though. 15 year old dining set getting full sand back and new oil finish with new foam and fabric. Easily get another 15 years out if it! I kept the original fabrics as a template to cut the new material for less off cut waste.

I've watched several videos trying to muster up the courage to do this. Yours is the best! Very straight forward and simple to do. I loved how you use the foam is a template for the fabrics.

You had me at "...obscene amount of staples..." Great job, I'll be doing this soon - God forbid that the "poor sod that needs to remove the screws... " doesn't actually end up being me again!!!

SO ❤ this video!!! Thank you for the music selection, visuals, and captions. My favorite part was the extra staples. It also confirms that this DIY project is not for me😅

Great tutorial, one question, what foam is recommended for traditional dining chair? The amount of staples in each chair is discouraging, but the rest seems doable. Thank you.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have 6 dining chairs that really need recovered and even have the material. Time to get the foam, batting, and dust cover as you called it. Charge the staple gun and go to. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it goes.

I love the sound affects in the beginning of this video! 👍😂 And I Really liked the fact the video was short and sweet, aka to the point! When I Reupholstered my dining room chairs, I found that a stapler remover was the easiest way to remove the staples! Can get a stapler remover at any office supply store, or can do like I did, and just go to the dollar store and get 2 for a $1.26!

You made it actually look like I could achieve this .. was the removal of staples the hardest part or getting the new material tight enough around the pinched corners ? Came Out great

Wow! you made it look so easy, thank you. I might try doing this myself on 6 chairs that need it. Where can I get the foam please? Thank you.

Nice video! Very simple and effective approach. 👍 My old crappy stapler died and need to get a good one this time. What do you recommend? Needs to be able to drive the staples fully, not just half way like my old one. Was thinking of the Stanley TR250,but it has mixed reviews... Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Thanks for the great video! Do you think it would work to use the plywood and cut out a space and install webbing? It seems the ones I see using webbing use a wood frame.

It’s upholstery foam, I don’t know the brand. I got everything at my local fabric store. I’d imagine you could probably get it at Walmart as well if they have a sewing section. Hope this helps

The previous three upholsterers left each others nails and staples in place on ours. 3 times the fun removing them

I'm doing one right now that had three layers of fabric, first two with tiny tack nails and the third was gross dried out vinyl with staples. But all in fun and love my new seat.

Yes, it makes the cushion look smooth. Otherwise you’d see every imperfection in the foam.

Good video. Just what I needed. Instead of removing 300 staples for each chair, just cut some new wood pieces of more solid wood. This beetle pine is flimsy and cracked. I would sell it for art projects and use fresh wood to justify a labor intensive project. Why does no one get an air compressor and a real staple gun? This one is a joke! All those staples will pop out soon as someone sits on that chair. $150 for a Porter Cable 6 gal 150 PSI air compressor at Home Depot. If you are lucky they come bundled with a Stapler, Brad Nailer, and a Finish Nailer. Every home should have an air compressor. And women - get one too! Don't make excuses. If you can make coffee you can use this.
