PaperedLove You don't have to use Pages, thats just what I happen to have on my computer. But if you have MS Word or another word processing program, that should work also! I assume you must have something that you use to write papers and such for class?

Using "clear" full sheet instead of white is brilliant! Why didn't I think of that. So simple but brilliant. I cut mine out in rows so I only have to cut one piece at a time when I need them. Thank you very much for this video : )

how would you cut just the top layer (the sticker part, not the backing), so that you could peel each sticker off seperately, of a large sheet

SillyConeBaby Unless you have one of those special machines (silhouette cameo?) you need to cut the whole thing and peel the back off- that's what I do. It is a little less simple than standard stickers, but the trade off it custom stickers without fancy machines and extra work!

TFS - I also make my own stickers and use Apple Pages. I have never used the Avery clear labels before but I think I'm going to have to order some because as you said there would not be any white area around the stickers so thanks for that tip. Have a great day!

So when you want to use them you cut them out right when you intend to use? For die cut do people normally use exacto knives?

I wonder how it would work if you cut out each sticker and pealed it then added them to wax paper or an old sticker sheet background. That way they are cut already, but they don't go everywhere. I am definitely going to try and make some stickers now. Now I need to buy new ink for my printer.

Hi Alexis! I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed all of your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and life with us! So, while I was watching this video I was thinking...I have a machine called the Brother Scan n Cut. It is about $250 (pretty pricey) but hey may as well get my money's worth. If you print the stickers on the avery labels on your printer and then Scan the sheet in the Scan N Cut you can then tell it to cut out the images. It reads the outline and will cut out each sticker individually. You can even adjust the margin to give it an outline. I know most people aren't going to rush out and get one of these machines but if by chance someone has one, this would be a great application!! Just my two cents. Be AWESOME! Teri G

artsy moon You would essentially do the same thing in photoshop, find images and drag them into the files, except with photoshop you have more control over placement of the images on the page! Good luck!

Some of them have a manufacturer where they send the design. Others might have an actual sticker printing machine(my friend had one).

Vector is an image that is resolution independent. Correct that they can be scaled up or down and keep their clear and crisp form without pixelating.

BlueBunny If you want to peel them off you need a silhouette or one of those machines. If you don't mind cutting them out yourself and then peeling them off the backing you can use the sticker paper I mentioned in the video!

Vector, PNG, and Clip Art are all typically good additions to find imaged that have no background/transparent backgrounds. Please do a spin off of this tutorial for Photoshop to show the difference in the ability to manipulate the placement and such.

GIMP.org is an open source photo editor that is nearly identical to Adobe Photoshop, for free. The layout is different, but you can do practically the same things using GIMP as PS offers.

How do people who make and sell their own stickers on etsy cut their stickers right to the edge of the design? For example, a heart that peels off in a heart shape. Not a heart design in a box shape.
