Just bought this controller and its quite nice to use. Only issue i have and its quite a big one is that it only has rca output. Without connecting to a pa system you can only play either through the computer speakers or the headphones, not both which makes mixing out loud impossible. For a home controller an aux output would have been nice

Hey! Love the tutorial. I was curious to know how to make it so that, let's say Deck A is playing on the speakers but I only want to hear deck B playing on my headphones. Right now, if deck A is playing, I need to hit the headphone button on the numark party mixer but I end up not only hearing Deck A but also Deck B. I want it so that both are playing but one on the speakers and the other on the headphones. I tried messing with the audio settings, no results! Thanks!.

No but you could map it to do so.

No, because the Kaoss is nothing to do with the computer. You'll have to use an external recorder of some type.

Yes . You either need the Virtual DJ LE licence (which comes with the controller) or the pro infinity/subscriber licence

Hey, I need help. I have these products but my cross fader does not perform like it should. It moves left and right on the software and hardware but it is static. I tried my other skin which could change cross fader settings but it is “NOT” set on thru. Help pls Thank You 😊

Sounds like you have an issue with either the USB socket or the USB jack :) Try connecting it to another computer / laptop and see if the problem persists. If it does, then the Party Mix cable is faulty and I recommend getting in touch with Numark support!

I have Virtual DJ that I downloaded and setup with a new Mixtrack 3 back in 2017. I eventually sold the Mixtrack 3 but am looking to get a Party Mix to mess around with. Will it still work with Virtual DJ or do I have to uninstall the program and reinstall? I was able to get it to keep working beyond the 20 days and want it to keep doing that with the Party Mix.

If you own a full version of Virtual DJ, it will work fine. If not, then no, it probably won't.

so is it compatible with virtualdj21? i plugged it in and i have the monthly membership for all licenses. it worked for initial plug in but wasnt putting out any sound, then when i got the sound to work. it stopped responding when i adjust knobs/sliders. any tips? and answers to compatibility

Mine is a serato lite version, however no key code for either serato pro, neither can get one for Vistuladj. All I see under my numark account is the serial number... any help?

Use it with Serato Lite? No Numark Party Mix comes with a code for Serato Pro

No, you can't, although Virtual DJ does have a subscriptions track streaming service built in if you decide to use the unit with Virtual DJ, and Tidal is available in Serato (again, on subscription) if your choose to go down the Serato route.

Excellent tutorials. Can i ask a silly question, does the virtual dj software free version give you access to a large enough library of songs to mix? My son doesn't have iTunes songs, only Spotify premium so presume those can't be accessed with the software. Thanks so much.

Hey, definitely not a silly question. Virtual DJ doesn't come with any songs to mix with, if you think he's serious about it then definitely buy him some music he actually likes to learn to DJ with :)

@@digitaldjtips thanks a lot. I presume you mean we have to buy songs/albums from iTunes etc, and can't use the songs downloaded from Spotify or on cd etc. Shame about that as we just use Spotify rather than buy any songs.

No you can't use Spotify - you can use music you've burnt from a CD though no problem

Does this software require Apple and I tuned? Is it compatible with most relatively modern laptops and general audio libraries? I'm shopping for an affordable entry level console and would like to know. A $100 controller is great, but not if I'm spending $1000 on a luxury laptop. My budget is a few hundred dollars. I'm not concerned about speakers or a head unit, there are affordable, satisfactory options available. I'm just concerned about investing in the laptop. I have a primitive PC and a good smart phone, the PC could present issues with outdated software and portability issues, and the phone (which houses most of my audio library, which I also have largely duplicated to an SD card) presents the obvious issues of a tiny screen and of course it being my communication device.

No it doesn't require a Mac or iTunes, the best thing to do is check out the software you want to run and the specs needed will be listed on their website 👍
