Wish me luck Dirty, I'm going back to skating tomorrow after 25 years. I did my homework and watched all your lessons. You encourage and inspire me so much. Love from Guatemala ❤🇬🇹 EDIT: I did it I did it I did it! And I didn't fall once! For now I can only go forward but it's a start.

@@brendaaceituno1761 Sure! Keep your knees bent… when you begin to feel loss of balance, bend the knees to lower your center of gravity… this saves me all the time. Try not to look at your feet. Look forward and where you want to go. Learn and practice stopping forward and backward. Also, exercises like Zumba will strengthen all the necessary muscles that relate to skating…. And last, it’s all about the hips… well not all, but upper body movement is so important in terms of what your feet will do. You’ll do well because you’re educating yourself. This will accelerate your progress immensely. Have fun skate sister!✌️🙏🏾

You are mind-reader! I literally nailed my downtown last week after watching your tutorial and immediately started working on backstep that same night. I don't know the voodoo that you do, but you do it so well. Get outta my head! Lol. Keep these timely videos coming Dirty!!

I absolutely love how you fixed your shirt sleeves! It looks really nice on you. I do mine like that too, but just a tad bit higher up on my arms. Once I get past my elbows, I have to wiggle them the rest of the way up. For some reason, they go up smooth until they get to elbow length.

Debbie you’re are awesome. I visited during Super Bowl week from DC. I would love to see you do a video of transitioning from backwards to forwards by crossing over the leg of the side you are turning to face forward again. I see people do it and it just seems so difficult. Again, while skating backwards they swing either leg across the other and transition back to forward.

I am a very experienced inline skater but I can’t skate well on roller skates. I get so depressed at skating rinks because I can’t skate that well on roller skates. I learned inline skates first as young as 5 I’m 36 next month. I am going to master roller skate someday! I will definitely go to the website mentioned in this video so I can get the right skates I need. Btw…I love this channel!!!

Dirty, I started skating at the end of 2020. I had only been skating a few months and feeling pretty good with where I was skill wise. Then June 2021 my family and I moved from Cali to Missouri, to the country! Needless to say, no more slapping on skates and just going outside to skate! Also, I was 3 months prego. I’m 3 months postpartum and anywhere I drive I am checking out those parking lots! Lol I’m craving skating but I’m nervous about starting all over! How can I get re motivated and over the fear of “starting over” ? Is skating like riding a bike? Thanks! Gosh I wish I could have come back to your rink one last time! Lots of fond memories there!
@lorenzovillegas24572 жыл бұрын
Dang… I feel ya. I live in the country… have to drive over an hour to the nearest rink. Long winters… skating is the best! Never give up! 💪🏿

Hey Dirty! I'm looking to upgrade my skate setup, I have wide feet, currently using skates with no heel height, and I get a lot of pain on the bottom of my feet. I'm looking into either the Boardwalk skate or the Moxi Panther. Could you suggest which one might be better for me?
@Tina-sg6nq2 жыл бұрын
I have the boardwalks and I love them! They're suede so they mold quite a bit to your foot shape after just a bit of use. The heel height however ive heard is a bit lower compared to an artistic skate heel, but ive honestly not had an issue with my suregrips being uncomfy! Everyone I know with moxis has loved them as well but I think the boardwalks are pretty comparable in quality(and like $100 cheaper lol)
@lauralime2 жыл бұрын
@@Tina-sg6nq thanks for your thoughts! Yeah the price of the Moxi skates is a real deterrent, I mean I know they are high quality, but there are other high quality skates out there too! Sometimes I feel like you are paying more just to say you have Moxis on ur feet and honestly I'm not all about that.... I like the idea of slightly lower heel height of the Boardwalks too, since I get more foot pain the higher the heel. OK so it's settled, I'm going with the pink boardwalks! 😁😎🥳
