Hi! How many miles did you have on the car when you did the test? And what model and year is it? Thanks for the guide. I have a model y 2023 standard range with the lfp battery and live in Sweden.

This is a 2022 China built LFP Model 3 rear wheel drive. It had about 20,000 km on the odometer. Your car should pass the battery test with 100% health, unless you’ve done heaps of km. What’s it like living in Sweden and driving electric cars over there?

@@Lens_Addict great vid. How much supercharging have you done since you've had the car? If you're mostly charging at home using level 2 charging, it should help preserve the life the of the battery.

Thank you! That's kind. I usually charge at level 2 charger almost exclusively.@@EV_times

Hi guys, I did it today but didnt finish it. Car started to drain the battery with fans on. Than the noise stopped but car was not charging for about 45 minutes and I had 1% of battery. Still no charging, I was affraid that the car will die totally so opened the doors and proces was running but I tried to push icon start charging. Than som notification jumped out that check the car issue bcs charging not allowed. Even the blue tesla icon next to charging port didnt show Up. After a while IT showed Up but still the car was not charging. So I was panicking and unplugged the port, quit the service mode and push the brake to wake up the car. Only after that I was ale to charg the care. Did I panic ? I was affraid that after draining the battery the car had 1% and just was still and not charging for 45minutes.

Is the battery health check from the Tesla app accurate?

how many kilometers and charge cycles had you done when you did this test?

No idea around charge cycles, maybe 100/200 around 20k on odo

Is it normal for the car to stop charging for a long time? I plugged into a chargepoint charger (3% battery) and my tesla was charging for about 5 minutes before I put the battery health test (the same way you did). The car makes some noises that I could hear, I locked it and left the garage. Now the charger stopped but it seems like the battery is still going low. Does it hit 0% first before charging up again?
@impulsivez48257 ай бұрын
Nevermind! My Tesla justtt started charging. Took about 3 hours from basically 0% state of charge for it to kick in charging again! So I'm guessing its testing the battery state of health as we speak!

@@impulsivez4825 The process is basically run battery down to around 10%. I have seen lower and higher, then it will sit it there for a few hours and then charge it up to 100%, and it will also need to sit at 100% for a while too to get a degradation number.
@impulsivez48257 ай бұрын
@@Lens_Addict ahh okay thanks so much. I got to the charger with 2% battery lol so I didnt here any fan spooling up which threw me off. I let the car charged abit and tried again then i heard it preconditioning which was a clear indicator it was working.

@@impulsivez4825oh nice what was the end result for your battery health?
@impulsivez48257 ай бұрын
@@Lens_Addict 86% battery health. 98,776 miles. 2022 Model 3 Long Range. 98% battery gives me 315mi on the estimate range meter. Hmm..does that sound normal? I did read 10% degrade is normal at the beginning and this is 4% more than that.

Mine was making noise and went all the way down to 5% and then stoped, won’t charge still in service mode, is this normal ?

How long did you leave the car to sleep? (being the car was left alone, not checked on the app etc.) Is it still plugged in and did you tell it to start charging before starting the battery test?
@timrs807 ай бұрын
The battery health was 93%, but the capacity was showing 98.5% - apparently 2 different measures.
@Lens_Addict7 ай бұрын
the capacity percentage is just the current percentage the car's battery is at at the time you open the menu.

What Tesla video do you want to see next?
@ag31988 Жыл бұрын
A video about the strange amount of hate from other motorists we get as Tesla drivers. Not to mention people touching/messing with the car while it’s parked. I’ve caught a few strange moments on SM.
@Lens_Addict Жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be an interesting video I have not faced any hate for my car that I can tell so far maybe in the Sydney city it's less. I don't think I would be able to make a video on this without experiencing some of this myself. It sounds frustrating that you had people mess with your car while it's parked though.
