My first experience with using acrylic was with this product. I assumed that I was plain awful at acrylic and too slow to use it, which turned me onto gel. However, after hearing Suzie call this product “too fast”, that makes me feel better about myself. I thought the problem with me was that I was too slow and sloppy to use acrylic, but my problem was actually with the curing time of the product itself. This gives me inspiration to try acrylic again! Thanks Suzie!!

@@mariadepaz479 this is how I felt when I first tried this kit or the acrylic stuff from ebay few years ago lmao. I’ve learned a lot since then. I still get the wrong impression from lots of other videos from different you tubers. They speed up their videos and for a while led me to believe I wasn’t co trolling my acrylic beads as well as they were. The speed of the video and monomer come into play. I didn’t realize it then. I now go for medium to fast setting monomer. Slow monomer is good for learning but I have to chase the beads a lot and I’m impatient for that. I work quicker. SuZies videos never let me down and get the wrong impression of what to do.

Thank you for mentioning how stinkin' FAST this sets up! It starts to set up on the brush before you can even get it on the nail. I ended up just plunking it down in blobs and then using my e-file & a coarse bit to take it down to the shape I wanted. It was a lot of work. Honestly, if they change the monomer this would be a pretty nice kit. TFS!

Thank u so much for these videos even tho i think ppl who are just starting out I DONT at all think this KISS kit is good for beginners!!!!! the brush the powder the liquid just doesnt give u enough play time so as someone just starting out this kit DEFF wouldnt be something i would get!!!! u need a REALLY good brush and powder when ur starting out so u can have time to play with the powder as u lay it on ur nail, this powder in the kit just DOESNT give u the play time in case u mess up!!!! Amazon literally has ALL u need for nails at home!!! u can buy everything for close to 150$ 200$ AND STUFF that is professional and GOOD and it will last and not be mini stuff!!! ESP A BRUSH is gunna be prob the MOST expensive thing u buy bc u want a REAL hair brush they are from 25 to 50 and reveiws will tell u IF thatb brush is REAL HAIR or not PURE KOLINSKY hair!!!!! THATS what u NEED if ur starting out size 10 to 14 i would use starting!!!! I started doing nails 6 mo ago i have my own company BEAUTY by BRITTANY and ive been booked since i started doing nails!!! When lifting happens, is that pulling off a layer of my nail with it? Or is it usually caused by incomplete adhesion and the separation between nail and acrylic is clean.
@mznaildesigns4 жыл бұрын
Lifting will happen because of bad adhesion. Either the person’s nails are naturally oily or there wasn’t enough nail prep done to avoid it!
@tabbygrogan86904 жыл бұрын
its just lifing cause not being completely adheared to the natural nail, you will still have some lift when your natural nail grow out because it stops being as strong as it used to be when you first applied the product,the products grows out with your natural nail so while doing everyday things with your things your putting stress on your nails which is what makes them lift, but it doesn't take up any of your natural nail, unless you take the product off incorrectly

Susie I have a question for you. I do my own nails and when I use the electric file, some times the drill bit catches my nail or my clients and goes around my finger.. scares the hell out of me every time. How do I avoid this? The more coarse the bit the worse it is 😬
@elizabethdee75904 жыл бұрын
It might help to use a lighter touch and lift the drill bit off of the nail more often
@mckenny55053 жыл бұрын
How has it been since then? This was 5 months ago and I promise I had this same problem when I first began to use an efile. I used an efile for a few months before suddenly it just stopped. I know it had to do with me being unsure while using an efile. I was scared. I didn’t hold it with confidence. Idk why one day I just filed my nails with confidence. I just applied the right pressure. I was timid with it before. Another thing it could be is that you’re using the efile in the wrong direction ? Lefties use an efile in reverse. Righties use forward. That can have the same effect !

Yes! Kiss sets up too quickly and the lifting..oh my. I know it's not good practice to mix products, but I had run out of Kiss monomer and used some Beauty Secrets monomer (from Sally's) with Kiss powder. It worked beautifully - flowed onto the nail, barely any filing needed, and no lifting! I'm new to this, so I haven't ordered any of the more pro products yet, but surely they are easier to work with than Kiss monomer!
