Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for groomers like yourself who take the time to share their technique and skills with us for free. However, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I felt really disappointed and mislead after watching just based on the description of the video. I completely understand not wanting to talk, I hate to hear the sound of my voice on recordings, I can mute the music, but for the whole 14 minutes, I kept waiting for you to tell us what size blades and comb attachments you were using as promised in the description. I didn't even mind that I couldn't really see everything that you were doing. I scrolled through the comments, confident others had asked you for the information, but even your answers there were very vague and confusing. Like "Yellow comb attachment." I have no idea what that is. Thank you again for the video, I don't mean to be critical or rude, just offering some honest feedback for future videos if you choose to do them, I'm afraid I still don't know what size blade and comb to use to get the desired length for my Shih Tzu.

You did a great job but why did I have to listen to music instead of you describing what and how you are trimming this shih-tzu? It would have been a better video if you were explaining your technique. Everyone watching is always interested in what blade you are using and why. Super cute cut...you did an excellent job..I just prefer to hear what the groomer has to say.

what a cute pup my pair of shih tzu love when it time for a hair cut and a bath but i did start out just the face and rear and bath so the pup got use to cutter and getting a hair cut my groomer has no problem with them when the time comes and show no fear about it getting done

Hi & thanks for sharing this video. Please tell me what clipper blade and attachment sizes you used on the body? This is the exact length I want on my shih tzu but when I do it, it never looks like this. The hair on the side of the body is always left too long. But if I go with a shorter attachment it is gets too short. Thanks

My Shih Tzu will not let me touch her face. I have to take her to the groomer between grooming just to get the hair around her eyes trimmed for which I have to pay $25.00. I use a baby scissors with rounded edges but when I approach her she runs under the bed. She lets the groomer do it without any problems however. .

shes gonna get so many holes in that puppies coat, why don't you see why the clippers keep catching. Is the hair thoroughly brushed out? is the blade on your trimmer blunt? Also i heard that if you trim a puppy coat with clippers before they develop their adult coat it can split the hair shaft.

Nice job! I'm getting a Cavachon puppy in a couple of weeks. I've clipped a standard poodle, a miniature and standard schnauzer. I really like the puppy clip on the Cavachon. You didn't do anything to the ears here. Does hair need to be pulled from the insides?

Hi Anne, Thank you . I don't tend to trim ears until the next full groom, just so they grow a little longer . with plucking the ears I would normally if needed but not there first visit.

hi I am not sure what I am doing wrong I have 5 dogs and when I cut them I cant get through their hair its super soft and the clippers get stuck or I have to hold the skin back in order to cut the dogs hair, what am I doing wrong? you make it seem so easy. Please help me, what clippers are you using? kim

+I Am Kimber Hi Kim , I use andis clipper , it is best to purchase professional one especially if you have 5 dogs as they will last you a life time , the blades are separate and just snap on , and when the are blunt you can get them sharpened for around £5 each and clippers serviced for around £20 . I hope this helps you . I will try to get a video up on clippers and blades and maintaining them 😊🐾

Hi there, great job. As a new pet owner, I have had a bit of a disastrous experience with a groomer. Am I right in thinking that bad clipper marks should not occur? And if they do, they should be fixed?

Hi Natalie , some clipper marks can't be helped especially if it's clipped short (not completely dry, dog moves etc )but shouldn't be all over unless was really wriggly on the table , but if your really not happy with the groom I would expect my customers to tell me so I could fix it as I would prefer a happy returning client and could be a one off . Gentle Grooming hi, thank you for responding. Yeah, I totally understand things can happen, especially when your client isn't always still lol. Although my little Lilly is really very chill. She even stays still when I wash and brush her. I wasn't at all upset with the groomer, but there were quite a few mistakes, and a cut that I hadn't asked for, so I contacted her but unfortunately she was really rude to me. She didn't offer to correct anything. For some reason she took it really personally. It's great to know that there are groomers like you that welcome clients to contact them. I had a great experience with the first groomer I visited, so I will go back there. It's quite expensive, which is why I tried a different place. But I would rather spend a bit more and know that she will get a good groom, and that the people are very friendly

Alternately keep abreast of the local grooming/pet Dog shows in your area, (not dog shows) Visit these show with a fellow friend )who loves dogs and spend a couple of nights or days, viewing pros and competitions, they are very informative, see many breeds being groomed, one might be your breed.

To all you home groomers -- Your best bet for properly, grooming your breed, is to hire a professional groomer. or take a course in basic grooming at a school, or send for literature on line, or consult on line groomers, for your breed,
