Hi John, thanks for all you do and share! Question on the brake job...is it needed to open the fluid reservoir when spreading the brakes back? I do this for my car, but feel there's a greater amount on pressure than on the ATV? Thanks in advance for answering.

I'm not John but I've never had to "vent" the system when replacing pads. They've always moved back with no problem..that said, the reason he tells you to do it with the old pads on is that you don't want to scar new pads when prying them back with a screwdriver...

My rear brake piston cover fell off when I blew the dirt out. How do you fasten it back on? Should I glue it. There a felt like gasket under that cover.

I have 2008 grizzly. I changed front and rear break pads. The front breaks works fine. I dont have any pressure to rear breaks. I pumped breaks multiple times. When I press break handle for rear breaks thier is very little resistance. Any suggestion on how to correct this problem ?

I have the exact same problem with my 2015 grizzly. I have bled them at every spot possible. Still same. Put the old pads in and they work fine. What the heck? HELP!

This is way dated, and I’m sure you guys in here have since figured it out or gave up, but it may help in the future; 1. Remove the caliper by taking the bracket bolts and the brake line off (btw messy as hell so be prepared) 2. Remove the piston from the caliper 3. Clean both the piston and the hole where it seats into 4. You should be good, but be sure to bleed the brakes CORRECTLY. There’s a lot of misinformation out there about how to bleed brake lines

I'm on day two and still can't get it to fit right. Whoever designed the rear caliper in Japan needs fired, The back pad has enough room to fall out of the groove and make it impossible to get together right. OK headed back out to garage. thanks for the video.

Follow the line from the rear master cylinder to find exact location.
