Nice video, very good idea with rotors. Always nice to see a idea from sonebody else out there who rides and does their own mainteance. Also nice to see the K put on her saftey glasses while u two were grinding those rotors. Accidents happen quick. Stay safe and happy trails.

Wow good idea spinning it like that rotor over. Wish I had done that. Just put pads front and rear on my 2014 with only about 600 miles on it. Went with EBC severe duty. man they grip goooood. I think my slide pins needed to be regreased and I'm thinking that is why they wore so quickly. Luckily there was no corrosion in my pad pins threads either. I put antisieze on the pad retaining pin threads. I did chuck the pad pins in a drill and use a similar method to buff the corrosion off of the round pad sliding surface. hope that wasn't a mistake. Those factory pads look pretty good. I'm really enjoying you going through all this maintenance before me :). I used a screwdriver to pry the pads apart instead of the c-channel. Great video. I'm guessing you are using a gopro with a head strap? I also went ahead and replaced all the brake fluid in mine. You might consider doing that in yours as well because of age. Mine is a 14. harbor freight 92924 is the pneumatic brake bleed tool...have used it many many times what an easy way to replace the fluid!

Hi Factionfx, EBC severe duty was the pads I had on there. I actually like that brand of pad but went ahead and ordered the factory ones when I ordered the rear seals. Typical I do use a screwdriver to shove the piston back but had forgotten, had to grab pliers for that. Yeah for sure flushing the fluid out with new fluid is something I need to do. Glad you’re liking the maintenance videos appreciate you checking them out and commenting!

Hi Kuba, That’s a tough question. The sportsman has more power, weighs more would require more maintenance. The grizzly is lighter more nimble has less power and require less maintenance. Really depends on what you’re wanting something with big power or less power and low maintenance. Myself I prefer the grizzly. Thanks for checking out the video.

This will make you laugh or cry depending but I bought my Rhino in 2006 and it wasn’t till about a year before I broke the transmission in 2011 that I lost brakes and I had about 4000 plus miles on it and now it’s about to do it again on my 2012 800 Commander so I guess I’ll have to fix them this time since I don’t plan on parking it just yet

Hi Richard, Yup I could’ve done that but with shipping would be over $100 for a pair of rotors. The pads were expensive enough. LOL Those rotors will be fine for several more years. Thanks for checking out the video!
