I had a good salchow but after the pandemic made skating difficult, I lost the jump. This video made me remember a few things that I had forgotten, thank you!!

Oh thank you....I’ve been learning the salchow for a while......sometimes I get it sometimes I don’t....and I think my trouble has been when my coach has said to check the position after the 3turn....I’ve tried to have arm and leg right behind me, not on a diagonal... 👍🏼👍🏼

I’m going to do so many off ice trainings especially for jumps (includes rotation and height), spins, spirals etc... And where i live around January 2021, the corona virus is going to end, meaning back to school and ice rink too, so I will train hard off ice for 5 months before I do my first on ice trainings. Wish me luck! 😊

Thanks Michelle. To get rid of the echo and have a much conciser sound, you’d need a lav mic (pricey). For me it would have helped to not use the music. Anyways, thanks so much for this!

How is it counted as a full rotation if its only half a rotation?
@eliys59822 жыл бұрын
You’re supposed to jump earlier on the ice, at the second three turn
@buldakcarbo2 жыл бұрын
It just is LOL textbook salchows, toe loops and loops all have like ~180 degrees of pre rotation
@michellecontreras8301 Жыл бұрын
the salchow pre rotation it’s acceptable; it’s the only jump that allows it
@butterpeak6336 Жыл бұрын
But thats just a famcy waltz jump? I heard you are supposed to lead in with your heel?
@bellamartinez5903 Жыл бұрын
leading in with your heel can be very dangerous! Please don't do that. Coach Michelle Hong is correct and has perfect form here! There is no need to lead with your heel, and most top level skaters do not do that.
