Just want to say, SORRY FOR THE AUDIO! I need to invest in a better mic. This was cheap like $25 one on Amazon and it works when it wants to 😑

Dang, great video but I had to do 3 takes before I realized this was a crown Vic. Most I've ever seen someone try to make a crown Vic look like a mustang. Great video

One or maybe a couple suggestions. You dont need to go right next to the back wheel with your string. It is better to go past both the front and rear of the car so you can measure across and make sure BOTH strings are parallel. You will get better results with TWO strings. I like to use high vis fishing line instead of regular string. This is important as most cars won’t have the exact same track width front and back. Then measure to make sure the line is the same distance from both back wheels and both front wheels. When making each adjustment you will get more accurate results by rolling the car back at least one foot and then back forward where the car originally sat. This sets tension on all the steering and suspension components just as it would when the car is driving down the road. This makes a much bigger difference especially when you aren’t using any steering plates under the front tires. It also helps you get the steering wheel closer to center rather than with the car sitting in one spot.

Dude thank you for that! I followed a video a few years ago on how to do it and so that’s what I’ve been doing this whole time and it seems to work for me! but makes me want to make a new one doing your method sounds way more accurate lol

@@sammyhack I hope my description is easy to understand. Its a lot of work getting the lines set right. One other suggestion is to find heavier items to tie the lines to so they are less likely to move. Nothing worse than spending all the time measuring and then accidentally bumping whatever you have the string tied to. First time I did it on my 64 Impala after I installed my tubular A arms, I took to an old school guy that has been doing alignments for years. I was amazed that the toe was dead nuts. I tried setting caster and camber but it’s very difficult on the old cars as they use shims to move the upper a arm. It’s all a guessing game even on an alignment rack. But yeah two strings I have found works great for setting toe. And by the way I really dig the car. It sounds pretty bad ass! 👍🏻👍🏻
