I was on the SAD diet, so then I went on Carnivore diet for 6 months..and now for over a year, I eat 95% wheatberries in every form and a simple yet large salad with 1 spoonful of dessert. I feel amazing!

GI doctors! HA!!! It take 6 months to get an appointment here in Canada. If you think Canadian healthcare system is the best, think again.

@Oniwabanshugirl I was lucky enough to find a family doctor. Unfortunately, finding a functional medicine doctor in Canada is not easy. I think we have one in Quebec, and the others are in Ontario. I found one functional medicine doctor who's also a medical doctor, and she's booked 6 months in advance.

I have had EOE since 2017 and starting the elimination diet Monday. So I eliminate the 6 food groups for 4 weeks then re introduce one of the 6 groups in one at a time for 2 weeks and then so on to the next group? I have another appt with my GI this Monday to see what he wants to do with follow up endoscopies when I’m doing this. Thank you and enjoy your videos.

I try to outline a rough guide but real life practicalities will mean that you need to follow a schedule that makes sense for you and your GI.

I have been dealing with GI issues, certain foods are a trigger. Got an allergy blood panel completed and all my triggers came back as low level allergies. My doctor referred me to an allergist. When speaking to an allergist about it - they responded in a condescending manner stating I was fine and I can eat whatever I want... because the skin prick test that they had tested came back negative... but they were the foods my blood test came back as negative and did not include my "abnormal" flags. So frustrating because clearly I am seeking out help because I don't feel well.

Hey I have a question I have been feeling bloated and gassy since 4 to 5 months. I don't know the reason, and I've been diagnosed with mipd pcos and have been prescribed metformin and spiranolactone. After searching for their side effects it's your shows GI issues as the side effect of both drugs. But I am not sure. I've seen some videos and some posts on internet that some kind of mould can also cause these kind of symptoms and problems and I don't know what to do any advice you got here?

The audio is very soft in both of your videos that I’ve watched so far. It would be helpful to get that clearer and louder.

Do you have a pdf of an elimination diet that l can discuss with my GP .?
@MarkCooperMD2 жыл бұрын
Elimination diets are specific to the condition so I can’t recommend one specific to you. Your GP or a GI doc can discuss further. Good luck!

My GI doctor said that it doesn't matter what i eat. I'll be sick with Crohn's anyway. The specialist agreed.

They are not trained in nutrition. At best 2 courses of nutrition in medical school. They are trained in medical school to diagnose and prescribe meds. They are trained to manage the symptoms not cure decease. Thy William Davis on you tube. Could be helpful. Also his book Super Gut. Find functional doctor, health couch.

You’re going to have Crohn’s either way but eating good food will still make you feel better, it does matter what eat.

Step 1: find a gastro doctor that listens and talks about this stuff

In my area they are booked out for 6-12 months. And where are you going to "find one that listens"? Do they line up somewhere for interviews?
