When I was younger I repeatedly experienced dreams in which I died, like getting shot in the head or fall to my death, even weird contraptions that would crush me. Although it may sound quite horrible, I've never experienced these dreams as a nightmare and rather saw them as an interesting one. The reason for that is what happened after I died. For some reason I felt the shock of death, like someone giving you a big scare, something that would normally wake someone up and thank the gods it was just a dream. For me, however, I stayed asleep and experienced myself floating in empty darkness for sometimes the feeling of hours. The calmth and just sheer nothingness of it all felt relaxing, as if someone were to continuously tell you that "It's all okey now; It's all over; You can relax". Even today (about 6 years since my last one) I still wish to experience it once more, once more to just feel the calm embrace of darkness, the calm embrace of feeling save, complete and finished.

@@jayco9214 he's just saying it... the mind is far more powerful than most people realize that's why people have woken up out of Comas never playing an instrument once in their life for instance piano and being able to play Mozart and Beethoven because almost everything we've ever seen heard or smelled is locked in our brain somewhere it just is a matter of how many many synapses connect for us to be able to recall that memory and it's also why people got a concussion and it rewired their neuroplasticity in their brain and all of a sudden spoke 10 language is when they thought they only knew one language because they have heard those languages in their life somewhere or another but didn't practice enough for their brain to wire it to be at the Forefront of their brain so yes you can practice the skill in lucid dreaming because it untap some of your subconscious and like the old adage practice makes perfect

I can fly or be stronger or whatever in my dreams, not because of me realizing it's a dream, but because in my dreams that's something my instinct would do, knowing it has that ability. The same as being able to walk in real life, because it's simply something I know I can do. So I can also not control the environment or control what I'm dreaming about.

I experimented with controlling my dreams in the early 90's while writing an essay on the subject for a college class. One of the books I read gave real specific instructions for this. First realize you are dreaming by looking at words on anything, look away from it, and then look back at it. It will have changed or even appear to change while you are still looking at it. Once you realize your dreaming the first step is to try and float, then spin your dream environment, and then finally fly. Once you can fly you are in complete control of the dream, and can go anywhere and do anything. I was able to accomplish all of this within a few days or weeks. Haven't used it much throughout the rest of my life, but it still seems very useful.

I was in a old building with many rooms. Long corridor with opened doors. I was walking and looking into the rooms. One of the room was all in white tiles like in old hospital floor, walls and ceiling were tiled. In a middle of the room there was a stand with opened book. I kept walking, past that room but than thought - I am in a dream I can do whatever I want! I can read this book! Than I turned around and walked back to that white tiled room. The book was big and ancient. I was anticipating to read something interesting but I couldn't. The letters were combined together and looked like worlds but they were not real worlds. They did not make any sense. I was disappointed and continue browsing the house.

I'm having a vivid lucid dream regularly, in it am flying on some sort of a black reptile with huge wings & mirror ish reflective scales that flips backwards in wind direction and creates a camouflage with its surroundings, i have had this dream 377 times now and everytime it gets wilder and more detailed, the wildest one is when i flew around and then landed on the pyramids, i woke up that morning on the sound of the heavy breathing and winds made by wings flapping and had actual sand stuck on my hair and shoulders, I have a shower every night before bed there is no way any of this would have been stuck to my body and hair. I named the creature Nahruon The Obsidian. My 1st name is Nourhan so it's my name backwards. The only limits to lucid dreams are the limits of your mind. So anything you haven't been mentally prepared for will cause you to wake or lose control. Particularly awkward is a lucid nightmare. They're extremely difficult to control because your brain is actively causing you fear and will try to force you to submit. I am and have always been a lucid dreamer! I always remember my dreams but that makes it hard for me in every day to day life, because it’s hard for me to remember what actually happened in real life, or if it was just a dream. I also normally go back to places in my dreams that I have dreamt of like over 5 to 10 years ago which is amazing to me. I can tell you what all those places look like, inside and out. But seeing as how they are all made up I could never tell you where it’s located lol Most of the things that I do dream end up happening, or they are just complete and total utter nonsense and an adventure… it wasn’t until you made this video that I actually realized what I have been doing! I always knew I was a Lucid dreamer, and could control somethings, but I never knew I could control my dreams 100%!! That’s amazing!

I used to use a mouth tobacco called snus that you place under your left or right for lip. (If you have seen Swedish hockey players, you know what I mean.) Anyhow, I used to fall asleep sometimes with tobacco still under the lip and at the time I used a CPAP breathing mask against sleep apnea that made the tobacco dryer and uncomfortable under the lip. So, I used to walk around in my dream trying to spit out the tobacco by I never managed to do it. (There was always more of the tobacco under my lip.) I try everything in the dream and usually around the time when I literally have the water tap in the mouth trying to flush the snuff and it doesn't work, I will realize that I am dreaming. That's amazing and I usually take a look around to discover where I am, looking out the window and so on. There usually also other people present and as I was standing there talking to three of them, I told them that I was having a dream and that therefore they couldn't be real. They looked shocked and didn't seem to like what I just told them. I could see that they felt bad about it and that they weren’t aware about it just as I wasn't aware about that I was dreaming only moments before. Some good advice?! Don't give in to the astonishment (as Terence McKenna would have said) and get to overwhelmed or to excited over things because it can get you to slowly wake up in steps turning the lucid dream into an ordinary daydream that can't be forced to continue. This has happened to me when I finally found and fell in love with "the girl of my dreams" or when in a not so noble cause as above are trying to have more than innocent kisses with someone, I find hot. I had to laugh at myself when I at one time woke up while giving my dry old pillow a big lick with my tongue. I also have experienced totally different kind of lucid dreams that are as real as this reality. The only way I know that I am dreaming is that my father and sister are still alive in the dream. That's how I know in which reality am currently in. (It would be impossible for me to distinguish between them in any other way.) I knew they both died so I understand that it can't be base reality. I accept it and that way I get to talk to them and to cheat death by spending some more time with my loved ones.

As you take your first step through your bedroom wall, your hearing is greeted with the soft irritable buzzing sound of ceiling office lights, and your eyes are overwhelmed by the ugly yellow carpeted room and wallpaper covered walls. Confused, you glance about your surroundings, trying to understand what you stepped into. The room appears empty, along with the rooms beyond the one you stand in. You attempt to step back into your own room, but find yourself in a similar room you were just in. You start running. Room after room, it was all looks the same. The buzzing gets louder. You cover your ears, and hope you will eventually wake up from the nightmare. Welcome to the Backrooms.

Not to brag but I have been successfully lucid dreaming for the last 14 years. It is absolutely wonderful and it makes the act of going to sleep an absolutely exciting one... anytime I have a stressful dream there is a point where I become aware and take control if it's a good dream I totally have absolute control. Flying and taking up to the air is fantastic, I always start flying and wonder why cant everyone else can't figure this out, it all seems so easy( in my dreams of course). It kind of feels like in my dreams when I fly I know the secret of life and cant understand why we can't all figure it out. Idk it's fucking amazing

The first time i successfully had one & decided to try flying, was one of the most amazing things i had ever experienced. Everything felt incredibly real! There was another time when i achieved a lucid dream state & transported myself to a beach. It was like i was in a real beach & i could feel the sand and the water ripples through my fingers. Man, what i'd give to be able to lucid dream again..

This is a simplified and more realistic answer to what is lucid dreaming and how it works, from someone who actually experienced it. 1 When you will experience lucid dreaming for the first time, you will wake up in your dream, you will see the actual dream in which u are and wonder (wow, this is amazing), but everything will slowly disappear in front of your eyes, and slowly u will wake up and after that, u will shed a little tear for how amazing that experience was :) 2 Most likely for many of us, this will be very rare, and the maximum of what we will experience from lucid dreaming. 3 If you experience lucid dreaming you will find out that staying in the dream is a very difficult thing to do, not even mentioning controlling the dream. Is not "a dor" you open and walk-in like Alice in wonderland and do whatever you want, as long as u want... Everything happens fast in reality, and from the moment you realize you're dreaming till you wake up will probably pass no more than 10s. 4 While you'll be lucid in some of your dreams, (it takes a couple good dreams) you will probably even "involuntary" change the action of the dream 5 To voluntarily change the dream as you please (or something close to that) is a very tricky thing to do, bcs you can't use logical thinking to do it, you will wake up if you do that. The only way to change and shape the dream is through emotions and desire (at least in my case). You can't just imagine things and they will appear there, you must desire them. The dream will modify and change based upon your feelings and desires, you just desire and the brain will do the rest of it, he will modify everything to match your desires and you will simply find yourself in the middle of the action :)

Legit what I experience about twice or 3 times a week, I never considered it lucid dreaming though because of how people describe it. It's always That I either become aware it's a dream and wake up shortly after(sometimes I use this to my advantage with avoiding nightmares) or I realise it's a dream and can't willingly change something, but I go after what I want in the dream itself with usually something stupid keeping me from reaching it, but all while fully aware it's a dream

your whole comment is actually what it happen , long time ago i got the ability to be lucid in my dreams , i saw how the dream start to corrupt it self and slowly die , mean wile i can explore a bit of that universe .. several times i was to do this i think around 1-3 years until on day i got a dream where i found my selft in a white with yellow particles around space, i cant see my sleft and the only thing around was that , i was shock because i was used to control my dream that i literally ask where i am? the space it selft ask my question that i was dreaming , when that happen i ask again who are you ? - the voice silence for a moment then answer me that i know who that.. kinda weird way to answer like actually talking with other person .. thats what i actual think in the moment so trying to ignore the second answer i be bold so i ask a question that i dont really know the answer .... sadly i cant remember what i asked .. but when the voice return give me the answer ... an answer i never think before ... i was so surprised of it and when i hear the answer of it i literally feel a s electric feel in my head ... it is the only time i feel something that intense .. then the voice talk to me that was about time to start and seems i can see my own selff moving with the whole place .. my vie of my sleft from the back accompany the voice , i jsut can see how they move away , i cant follow them with no movement and all getting darker ... i dont know if i dream more of that and just forget but that was the beginning of a new type of dreams , dreams were so realistic that i cant tell i was dreaming , i wasnt me just had to live other person life.. that was the time of i start to forget everything of what i dream i jsut have few pieces with no story behind .... so i guess that thing that visit me just take me to the second lvl what i cant beat yet

First time I had a lucid dream, it was a nightmare, I kept waking up and being killed over and over again. So I googled and did some research and found out about lucid dreaming, although I never made an effort to have them, I had maybe 5-6 more after that in the span of a year or 2. Imagining things was exactly what I did, I imagined places and people, and flew around just enjoying it all. I also found out your mind can quickly turn it into a nightmare, but after the research I just thought happy thoughts and focused on whatever thing I was exploring and it kept it at bay

Someone I know had two unexplainable dreams. I’m just going to call them… well, “them” to keep it anonymous. Once they kept having the same dream of a person in a car at a park driving down a road crashing and dying. That came true. Another time it felt like they were fighting something telling some sort of presence that this person that they had a crush on in 2nd grade was *not* going to die. They actually felt physically tired for the rest of the week. They ended up telling their mother that she would see something in the news that following month. And, sometime that month, their previous crush was in a terrible car crash. Their brother was nearby and pulled the person out of the car, barely before it exploded. If either of them had been a smidge closer, they would have died. That’s my story.

I have had 1 lucid dream when I was about 11ish. I have never slept well all my life, my body clock is tilted so I get tired around 3-5 am . I spent a lot of time at school asleep on my desk, I don't think I missed much! Anyway I'd had very little sleep one night before school and my mum came in telling me to get up. I remember going through the process of getting dressed, the frustration of reluctantly throwing back the warm duvet and feeling the cold cutting my skin to goosebumps. Sliding on my trousers that felt like they had been kept in a fridge over night, hearing the familiar sound of the loose belt jangling as I pulled them up, the crispness of my white shirt and even the smell of my school jumper as I pulled it over my head. Then I woke up still lying in bed with my mum screaming at me that I was going to be late! Not the most eventful lucid story of all time granted, and I have had better dreams I promise, but none that felt as real as that. The difference being so vast is the reason I can confidently point to that being legit lucid. I have tried, admittedly half arsed, to lucid dream around 10 years ago with no success but with such a fragile body clock I have always gotta be careful in case it flips 180 degrees and I'm awake all night and asleep all day until I can flip it back, making work life a living nightmare! I do want to try again now after watching this vid.... and no, get your heads out the gutter, it's not because of the sexual things he mentions... not only that anyway 😏

I am 19 and till now i have done lucid dreaming twice. It was amazing😍. I did it as i was very sleepy and when i knew i was about to sleep.. I started thinking and imagining of some place and the next moment i am in that place and can do anything.. Of course it didnt work all the time as i told you it only worked twice for me but its worth a try ❤️

The first two times i was terrified. Didnt know what to do and immediately woke up upon recognizing ng it was a dream. I started journaling and remembering dreams better even without journaling. Then i started having the same dream. On my third lucid try, i had a repeat dream. I knew what was going to happen and my dream self started focusing on herself. Then out if nowhere everything became a little brighter and clearer and i knew i was dreaming and DIDNT WAKE UPPPP it was too cool. I ended up building a bridge out of nothing and then jumping off of it, which is where i learned how to fly. The best thing ive ever done in life. Ive only been able to fly again maybe twice but i still lucid dream and just go with the flow while knowing im dreaming. One of the most exciting times of my life 😌

For those wondering how to easily manipulate your environment while lucid: try closing your eyes in dream and visualizing where you want to be, or what you want to appear. It seems to always work for me, and is less of a shock to my brain when it happens, if I close my eyes before trying.

I remember when i was 13 and was having a dream, i was bored of the dream so i became lucid "wow, okay dont get too excited, because if i do, i wake up" and so i started walking in the village i was in and i saw some kids shooting fire explosions out of their hands, i was f cking amazed lmao. I went over to them and asked how they were doing that, and one of the kids said, "oh you just want to build up mana into your hand and think of a fireball in your hand rapidly expanding, Then you have to keep compressing it into a fist sized fireball, After that when you throw it, it will stop compressing and it will explode quickly, get it?" He explained it well enough for me to understand, so i walked about 3 steps away from him and tried doing what he said. I pulled up my arm, and felt the sensation of blood gathering in my right hand. My blood feels as if it's being squeezed out, and a fire bullet the size of a fist appeared in front of my right hand. “Whoa!!” The moment I showed amazement, the fire bullet fell onto the floor, dampening it. I lost concentration, so i tried again, I had to imagine it, then repeat it over and over in my mind, then cast it in reality. Send the blood flowing from my toes and top of my head into my right hand, using that feeling to gather power. And then, have the feeling of firing it out from my palm. Ok now i had a fireball expanding really quickly, it was starting to burn my palm. "Dude you have to start compressing it now!" The other kid said to me. I tried compressing it but it wasnt working, so i flinged my other hand up and tried compressing it with my left hand, as it was expanding in my right. Now it was time for me to try throwing it. And when i did it looked like a fireball the size of a baseball was just thrown but then about 15 feet away it did a huge explosion, causing everything in the area to get destroyed, including me and the kids. Thats when i woke up. I was pretty sad waking up to reality after that happened. I told everyone in my school about it that day.

The surrealism movement in art is also based un dreams, actually, the painters used to fell asleep with a spoon in their hand, and a dish under it, so when they fell asleep, it would drop, making a loud sound that would wake them up, and from that short dream they had, they would develop their paintings.

I'm riding a scooter with pump-up tyres. 10" pneumatic, white tyres, rubber grip mat. I got to the corner. I think the tyre went flat then suddenly it's night . instantly I'm alert knowing it was only a dream. but it felt so real. Had it several times through my adolescence. I couldn't change it. Steps that helped me get a few As in school by studying in my sleep was: 1. Repeatedly throughout the day stretch out your fingers, look at them and ask mentally "Is this a dream? Are these my hands?" -> I like to have a some anchor and I always carry my hands with me. So my hands became the anchors. 2. Before you go to sleep, remind yourself that you want to wake up in the dream. 3. Make this a habit. After a week I was able to fly in Manhattan, talk with future self, study for school and prepare for speeches. But this method was a bit unreliable because I was more interested in student partys than the school. Also if you want to study in sleep it helps if you skim through a book before you go to sleep so the unconscious mind has something study in the night. Unfortunately, I stopped doing lucid dreaming after I left the university. But I'll try this again to learn a new language.

Now that my goal was to lucid dream, getting sleep felt easier and while I was lucid dreaming it felt like only the back of my head was active and thinking was less restricted. But also it felt I didnt have full power on yet so it was hard to focus on anything beyond fantasies. Those felt much more interesting than getting something useful done that night. @@happninmojo Didn't know it was impossible. I tried researching this woth google and it seems experiences vary from changing texts to seeeing jumbled letters to reading books. What I experience is not really reading but rather interacting with a book on a different level. I remember flipping through the pages in my sleep and remembering the topics and seeing pictures/figures in a book and me sort of flying through the pages making a journey through the book in sleep. I guess that's not reading but helped me remember the content in an exam. I don't really know how to explain. But last night I was able to remember letters that I had seen in a foreign language class and remember making basic sentences during sleep when my teacher in sleep showed me the letters and asked me to name them out loud. This makes so much sense about how I was able to have lucid dreams before! Back when I was in like 2nd grade or younger I had a lot of lucid dreams, and that was because of this one episode of gravity falls. They were in Stan’s head when he was asleep, and in it, they realized they can do whatever they want because they are in the human mind. This made me think about that one time as I was falling asleep, and when I started dreaming, I realized it was a dream. Then I remebered the gravity falls episode. Now 7-8 year old me didn’t think about doing it with a goddess, no I just flew. A lot.

Therefore , if I 100% fell asleep mt shoulder would dislocate, I either had to remain somewhat conscious or wedge myself in a way that something, like a wall kept my shoulder in. I also was into psych and just starting out studying it. So, I took advantage of this and routinely lucid dreamed. That was 35 years ago and I have been doing it since most nights. The benefits are incredible!

I lucid dream most nights. What usually helps me is waking up because of pain from a car wreck and I go to sleep with headphones on so my mind doesn’t race. It’s like watching a movie to go to sleep but I have to have it on my entire night sleep or else I’ll wake up. I usually listen to Comics Explained Full Stories in KZbin so my dreams are more super hero themed. But I am able to integrate those themes and powers into my lucid dreams. It’s mostly flight and having to concentrate harder to fly higher and farther. Or just to stay asleep so I can stay dream to have more fun. Love the channel. If you know of any studies where they take advanced lucid dreamers let me know. I’d love to try my abilities under a microscope.

Here's my experience with lucid dreams... When I was 14 my older brother passed away after a car bad accident. For the next year or so I started to experience sleep paralysis most nights (likely due to the traumatic event). At first these episodes were horrific but as time went on I developed a system to wake up my body by focusing on moving one finger. Once I could move that finger I could shake myself awake. After learning how wake my body out of sleep paralysis I was no longer afraid of it. So what I started doing during the mentally conscious, but physically paralyzed, state is NOT wake my body up and intentionally stay in limbo. If I stayed in this state I would begin to lucidly dream. These dreams were the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately, my sleep paralysis faded away and took my ability to have lucid dreams with it.

I've been lucid dreaming for close to 35 years. It started when I was 11, and I didn't even know lucid dreaming existed or that there was even a name for it. I had a crush on a classmate, and one night I had a dream where she was in it. It was not romantic or anything, we were just hanging out. But I woke up extremely enthusiastic and feeling great. And it made me wonder if dreams were somehow manipulated by certain actions, events, sights, and/or sounds at certain times of the day. And I wondered if I could find the right formula to have that same sort of dream every night. So I began experimenting. I eventually gave up on trying to dream about my crush. And focused on seeing if it were possible to be conscious during a dream. What my 11 year-old-self decided to do was to repeat to myself in bed, out loud, "Remember it's a dream" and repeat it 100 times. I did that for about two weeks. One night, I was having a dream where I was riding my bike with some local kids and I got that feeling that you get when you feel like you had forgotten something. Or rather, that you should be remembering something important. And then it immediately hit me: I remembered that it was a dream. It was like blinders being taken off of my eyes. I was so excited, I told one of the other kids in my dream (that current lucid dreamers refer to as "Dream Actors") that they weren't real and that this was all a dream. He didn't like that, and took out television remote control, clicked it, and I began getting sucked into the pavement as if it were quicksand. So I quickly relented and said he wasn't a dream. And then I immediately woke up. I've learned it's not uncommon for first timers to wake up shortly after a lucid event. But I was jazzed. My experiment had yielded results! So I continued to push forward. Lucid dreaming, I also learned, is a lot like practicing any skill: The more you do it, the better you get at it and the more easy and natural it becomes. I haven't had to repeat any phrases to myself since I was that young boy. Now it's just second nature to instinctively know when I am dreaming or not. Unlike a lot of the more hardcore lucid dreamers, these days I don't really go for 100% lucidity all the time. I personally like to sit back and enjoy the rides in my dreams. Essentially I go with the flow, but can instantly go 100% lucid when I don't like how a dream is going and I want to change it. (Affecting dreams, like manifesting objects or defying other natural laws of physics within dreams was much harder to master but it is possible... it just takes an incredible amount of willpower to blatantly defy your dream's reality) It's something I am glad that others know about and have named. I am glad it was also proven, as it's not something I could ever prove. But I can say that anyone can do it. There are other tips people have that are likely better than what I did. Good luck to any future lucid dreamers out there!

11 or 12 is a special time for the brain. You find that you can do things that most people grow to not believe possible and lose the skill. One skill makes you feel the future just before it happens. The brain does take a moment to create the world around us. Some kids feel they hear it before it happens. This has proven true.

I lucid dream quite a lot and have learned a few pointers should anyone be interested. Before sleep, if have experienced uncomfortable situations in your lucid dream before, like confrontations or anything unpleasant, which often wakes you from the dream, tell yourself that there is 'no' confrontation and that 'you' can change any situation and also, have no fear!! - Most of the other characters in our dreams are most likely created by ourselves and often may be psychological or part of who we are and reference sometimes to normal awake experiences. For example, if there is pounding and authoritative characters in the dream it may represent a parent or a boss or even a foe etc. - You can eliminate these uncomfortable situations by telling yourself before sleep that next time, you will handle it just fine, which for me worked. It can happen to the best of us so just because those uncomfortable situations happen may only be something that requires a little practice and a touch of discipline. That said, it truly is amazing when you know you can break known physical laws and fly high or low and go just about anywhere. Even other planets etc. - I have found whilst wondering streets in towns or cities, the street or road signs saying names of things look incorrectly spelt and unintelligible. Wonder if this is the same for others and also if there is a way to focus it better ?! - My last lucid dream could be made into a film !! :)

I tend to lucid dream quite often. It is like waking up in a dream just like he said. The strangest part is that the "camera angle" shifts like a role playing game. Instead of looking through my eyes as in waking life it goes to a "camera 2" mode or third person perspective. So I'm watching myself, as myself, directing that scene while I kind of create a set. Like a movie. I can move around the set, add characters, take them away, etc...I have noticed though that I only have a limited control over the other characters. They seem to have enough free will in the dreamscape until it gets weird and then I kind of silence them or leave. I can remember the dreams for days, months and years later with extreme clarity. Sometimes I can even go back to a particular "set" and revisit it with shocking detail. One thing I can say is that quite often the shape of the dreams are disoriented or misshapen like the gravity is too heavy and it's hard to walk. Or the characters look at me like I don't belong there or I'm an alien for lack of a better term. Maybe intruder is better. It can be way more tiring than being awake. I'd prefer just black silence from time to time. This isn't something I ever intended to do. I'm 40 and this has been happening for a long time. I am left handed and I think certain parts of my brain may function differently than right handed folk but i'm no scientist... Happy dreaming ya'll

I've also experience having a very long dream like been in the dream world for a week but after awoken from my sleep, I notice that it's just an half an hour time has passed when I look at the clock, like in my dream the concept of time is different, it can be a week, a month in the dream world but it only takes an hour of my sleep, that's why I really enjoyed sleeping and dreaming

Ended up writing a little story about the dream and how he was in my class now, and i plan to make it an actual book and publish it eventually.

@@212xgaming4 So I had a bit of a head start cause I always remember my dreams when wake up. What you want to do is keep a note or sketch book next to your bed. When you wake up write down or draw out your dream with as much detail as possible. This will supposedly strengthen your dream memory. Eventually you should be able to tell it's a dream. Like I said I wasn't sure if I really realize I was dreaming.

I had to start forcing myself to not control my dreams about 15 years ago. It was causing me to not function properly (I had several other more significant issues at the time. So this was just adding to them). I really needed to get the best sleep possible at the time and I wasn't getting that when I would be too busy living my Hugh Hefner/Superman lifestyle I had grown accustomed to while sleeping. Every once in a while I will allow myself to live it up in dream land but only if I have absolutely nothing important to do the next day. That's extremely rare. I'm constantly catching myself in my dreams, telling myself to let it just play out and not go flying around. Flying is my second favorite thing to do in a dream. 😜

one time I dreamt I was in my school with all of my classmates, surprisingly I remember it well. I realized I was dreaming as I went to get up from the desk in the language arts classroom for next period, I just fell like a price of paper. I had never lucid dreamt before so I thought it was amazing! As my class was in the halls getting things from our lockers (for next period) I saw my friend and went to their locker and had a brief discussion about whether or not math was the best subject. After that, I made eye contact with the friend and said “I know I’m dreaming.” I thought it’d be funny at the time to see what my brain would come up as a reaction for that. But, to my surprise, the friend looked at me grimly, then glaring like some horror movie character. She locked her eyes with mine and suddenly I felt extremely uncomfortable, like that strange numbness when you get physically hurt in dreams. I started to walk away awkwardly, to the next period, as my goal for that was to break a window for fun in my dream, but as I went behind her for the door to science, the friend turned her head like an owl with the same expression. I was freaked out so I threw a book at them and ran away. Then when I got to my desk group in science, we talked about our supposed previous assignment, then a boy broke the conversation by saying “I know you’re dreaming.” In the same sing-song voice I used with the friend. All the other desk mates stopped talking and looked at me, With the same emotionless stare. I felt sudden control over the situation, and ran out of the classroom and outside the school, I tried to ignore it when I went down town near my school, then everybody on the street, about 200 people stopped their walking and window shopping, and just stared. At me. It was horrifying as they all fell limp to the ground at the same time, then then sky turned a strange color I can’t quite describe, sort of a purplish, brown tint. It started thundering, then the buildings started to fall and then I woke up. Never forgot it and I’m still really freaked out.

There was one period in my life a couple years ago that i had concurrent dreams, pretty vivid ones but not way to clear, just enough to see details, to feel the precense of people i know and the ones i didn't knew i never had seen their faces, happened me like twice that i could, but often i'll just see some details like clothing, glasses and what not, i have some of them writen in a notebook mainly because they were so vivid or detailed i could not let them dissapear as the morning passed, but once i had a lucid dream, i was like "hey, i'm dreaming, i can move, I CAN MOVE!" and started to consiously jumping over some cubic rectangular escalated pillars from the tallest down, it had a flat ambient, no specific noise but mine, like white but dark due to lack of light, walls and floor, and the pillars where illuminated by idk by what source but purple colored, it lasted around 5-10 seconds then i continued dreaming as usual, unable to move freely... good shit, i haven't been able to have another lucid one, even when i continued having concurrent dreams every so often and writing them.

I taught myself to have lucid dreams when I was a kid. I used to have daily nightmares and I thought to myself if I can remember I am in a dream, then I won’t be scared. So I kept telling myself once I get in bed that tonight I’m going to remember I am in a dream. So pretty much deployed that tip that was mentioned in the video and it worked. I still remember the first dream that I was lucid in. It was a nightmare and I turned it into a dream. I still have lucid dreams regularly. However, I don’t have that kind of control of everything. I cannot fully change things in my dreams.

I'm not sure how I learned to lucid dream but recall that I began as a child of 8 or 9 years of age. I had been having bad dreams a lot before this and after I stopped having bad dreams or recognized bad dreams as dreams and therefore could step away and be third person perspective and see the bad dream as like a TV show or something similar. Many times I can create wonderful situations such as flying or being a hero. I never thought of using lucid dreaming as a training tool. The only time I cannot control my dreams is if I took cold medicine before bed. Especially ephedrine or its derivatives. Then my bad dreams aren't really nightmares but repeatedly stressful things from work either past or mostly meeting deadlines.

This is so true, "I remember that I will be dreaming". When I was a kid when I had a dream that I liked to continue but my parent wakes me up, I try to think of the dream I had then I just keep saying "I want to continue this" then it really continue with my awareness that this is a dream. I also chant this when I want to wake early like "Wake up at 5am" and then I do wake at 5am without alarm. Like albert einstein said, imagination is everything and I believe it.

Dying in a dream and not waking up, i experienced it once. It's like a normal dream at first. I was just eating then i felt heat from my neck up to my head and my heart felt like it was being crushed. I died and i guess it was a heart attack. I went into nothingness. I am conscious but i cant feel anything physically. I dont know whether it's dark or bright, can't see anything. i cant smell anything. I don't feel any heat but it's not cold either. It's just relaxing. It felt like hours or even days went by. When i woke up, i was just asleep for 30mins.

I picked up lucid dreaming at the age of 14 on my own without any prior knowledge of what it was due to nightmares. I kept having nightmares every night for a while to the point where I started saying "I am going to sleep, whatever happened it's just a dream" before I go to bed. Soon enough, as I was having a horrifying nightmare, I said it! " I am in dream right now because I remember going to bed! How did I get here? this must be a dream and I am going to wake up soon". Fortunate, I did wake up realizing that it was something incredible. Today, I am completely aware of myself being in a dream to the point where it feels like reality. Sometimes, I cannot wait to go to sleep just to be in that experience. However, the whole thing still freaks me out, it just unbelievable. I am now 27 but still not able to control and change my surroundings at will. I am assuming it takes lifetime of practice. Everyone should try it! it's a biological metaverse within you. You could reach the 4th or even the 5th dimension.

In Most of my dreams I know I'm dreaming but as soon I know something good is about to happen or something I want there are always obstacles that never let me get the pleasures I want in my dreams. While I'm in my dreaming state I'm aware of the obstacles barriers that don't let me get the pleasure I want, I try really hard to get through the obstacles, but I can't never make it. I know I'm going to wake up while dreaming, I never get the pleasures I want and I realise the dream is going to end and I'm going to wake up. After waking up I can only remember the dream for 15 minutes and then forget about it, but sometimes I remember after some hours I had a dream but can only remember some parts of the dream and sometimes I start to remember my dream in parts starting from the last part and going to the parts before that and after some hours the memory of the dreams I had fade way. I have only logged one dream on my phone within the 15 minutes after waking up from a dream.

I did the dream jornal many years ago. I need to point out first that its not difficult to me to remember dreams but only if i wake up at specific times. Anyways … when i took upon writing the details every time I woke up remembering the dream it became easier after a few weeks and the more details I could remember as the entire story. I know that in those times, sometimes i did know i was dreaming , but i never learned to control the story. Eventually i got tired of writing and I lost the ability to remember vividly. Occasionally to this day I still wake from time to time with some fragmented memory of dreams. Some i still remember all this years ago. Usually dreams that had some importance to me.
