Have you ever tried Evapo-Rust? It's non toxic and sold by the gallon. You just take a huge container and dump parts in and in a day; voila: It's like water: gets into every nook and cranny. No need for grinding or brushing. You can reuse it over and over. 5-10 gallons should last you for a year.
