They nailed it. I'm 37 and they did all the old foot work moves. I smiled the entire time

to everyone trying to learn: 1) start skipping rope at least 5 days a week for 10-20 minutes, start doing it to juke/footwork/anything 150-160 bpm once you get the hang of skipping rope basics (but, please remember to bend your knees and stay on balls of your feet). 2) use the controller to slow this video down to keep up with the moves, practice them to slower house music (especially classic ghetto house like DJ Funk, DJ Deeon, Dance Mania Recs). it takes time, give it at least 6 months of consistent practice to really start feeling the progress, but it's definitely doable.

lol they are basic. you cant footwork without knowing them at all lol
@amodroshode36357 жыл бұрын
ur not a dancer then it probably wouldn't see it as basic, but most of those dances r old like before it was chi foot work mc hammer was doing it, u could go to a techno clubs back in the 2000 and see most of those foot works,(that's is where it all started after all tencho) so for a dancer that knows the old school style that would be basic like the guy said they r probably called a different name on another side of chi but also in tx it would be called something else as well. most of those dances I can show u done by people in the 80s, try watchin the movie breaken 1 and 2 and see the style of dance most people grew up with and u will understand y he called this basic, dances evolve over time some do not just the names does lol
@1baywatch6 жыл бұрын
I'm from the CHI and Ive been a lot of places. And yes these ARE basic dance moves Tyron Prins but not out of a Techno club amod roshode. these dances come from the streets of Chicago in the schools and house/basement parties of the early 90s. I remember the evolution of this style of dance on the south side of the CHI and it definitely wasn't from watching MC Hammer LMFAO. Some of these dances were called the 40s, skateboard, and washing machine but derived from dances like the Charleston and black swing dancing from way back. I remember watching old black and white movies with dancing from way back and putting a new twist on them. We also had non-footwork dances moves like the Peculator(south side and west side), Pressure cooker, and Beat that Bitch with a bat to name a few. I'm just glad to see someone put a video out of this Chicago style of dancing.

Ha, around 90-96 the Running Mans/Mop and Glows was called the Skateboard, and the Mikes was called the Tip Toe, of course it was done slower because it was done to 4 to floor House/Ghetto House. It sped up and evolved over time once the music sped up to what we call Juke Music now... Still Good shit, I'm from the Culture and still support it to this Day! 💯

I think it depends on the dancer judging from what I've seen on KZbin. But as person who's been learning to footwork for almost a year I mostly stick to the "Shirt grabbing" you see some dancers do and jacking(I used to house dance) for upper body movement.
