Can’t wait to try this. When I tied as I cut each color so many of the stitches dropped it was just horrible. Thank you for this explanation.

This is so helpful. I searched the app store for an app to create a pattern and couldn't find one. What app are you using?
@MaakhetmetMiranda11 ай бұрын
When I use an internetpage I use stitch fiddle. Not an app.

Can I tie the strands of yarn off as I go, rather than wait till the end? Thank you for such a good video; I have hope that I might be able to achieve a pattern now xx
@MaakhetmetMiranda Жыл бұрын
Yes ofcourse. But only after at least 10 rows knitting because of the right tension and distance between the stitches.. So better and easier to do afterwards as demonstrated.

Do you have to cut after each color change or can you carry colors?
@MaakhetmetMiranda11 ай бұрын
Im so sorry that my video did not make that clear to you. Did you watch the video? Can you tell me where i forgot to demonstrate how to do colorwork and forgot explaining how to do colorwork?
@destructivedes11 ай бұрын
@@MaakhetmetMiranda no need to be spicy, I just asked a question. I know in your video, that I did watch, you are cutting them. I'm just asking if this is the only way or if it's possible to cary them. Pardon me if I missed it. 😒
@susansays56274 ай бұрын
@@destructivedes You need to cut in between each colour change, because the strands need to be tied off to make the tension correct. Carrying the yarns along the back, as you can do in hand knitting, doesn't work on the machine, UNLESS it's a simple fair isle look, where you alternate colours on every single stitch. When you do that, you can just cross the yarns over behind each needle. :)

Hello, I'm not sure how to PM you so I'd like to ask here: I love your explanation of the technique. Would you mind if I included your video in the "Helpful resources" section of my patterns? You'll be given full credit for the video and free patterns if you're interested in my designs. Please, let me know :)

Why can’t you tie them as you go
@MaakhetmetMiranda Жыл бұрын
You can do it absolutely. But before you tie you have to knit at least 10 rows to get the correct distance between the stitches. When you have a lot of tails hanging then it’s going to be though to get the right ends to join between al the other ends of the other rows while your work is still hanging in the machine. But you will find out once you tried to tie them on the go. Then You understand why it’s better to go afterwards. But it’s definitely not forbidden to do but I like to explain the easy way instead of the complex. 😉👍
