Feel you. Went to shoot around, ended up playing 2 on 2 to 11. Was calculating how many points left for the game to end at 8-6 🤣

This is the most sound advice I've heard yet when it comes to bball conditioning. Literally and figuratively speaking, it covers all angles for in-game preparation. Definitely rewires the logic behind training methods. Great lesson man💯

Yoga/Breathing techniques really helped my basketball stamina.
@foceanb

what breathing techniques?
@Mikey22LR
@Mikey22LR 11 ай бұрын
@@foceanb Deep diaphragmatic breathing vs. shallow chest breathing. The former allows you to use your lungs at 100% capacity, increasing efficiency. Helps with focus. Increases oxygen in blood. Reduces heart rate. Recovery time becomes shorter. Due to yoga practice, it's how I breathe all the time, even while exercising/hooping.

My coach does a drill that he calls guts. One player has the ball and is dribbling up the court while staying inside 2 lines(usually about the same width as they paint). The 2nd player has their hands behind their head and is only moving their feet to force the balhandler one way. There is a line on the baseline and once the ballhandler reaches halfcourt they pass the ball to the person at the front of the line. The defender then runs back and does this again for however long the coach says. Great way to improve to ballhandling, conditioning, and defense all at the same time.

This is going to sound controversial but I ran cross country and track so when I played basketball it was nothing. If I took a week off or 2 after basketball it just took a week or 3 to get that explosiveness back. All else it works still.

Dribbling and crossing over with both hands. Learn to seal or cage your defender while dribble. Finishing with both hand. Idk how tall you are but learn how to pro hop and perform floaters with both hands.
