This was so helpful. Just knowing there is someone else out there experiencing this at Disney made me feel so less alone. I'm use to planning activities around my meals. My poor family is always pointing out restrooms for me just in case I missed one. They're so patient with me.

I suffer from really bad IBS and recommend getting an accessibility pass. My IBS is so bad that any line over 30 minutes is generally impossible for me. The pass allows me to *wait* the line while not physically being in line. It helps with anxiety but also allows me to take care of myself while enjoying the rides!

This is great advice. IBS is one of the many invisible disabilities, conditions, or diseases covered by DAS....it's a wonderful tool that allows many people to make the most of their park visits.

I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago after a gallbladder attack and sometimes I’m good & sometimes I’m hitting the bathroom several times a day. Also I have HBP and the meds can have you on the go, so I will definitely take advantage of the disability access. Thanks for making this video!

THANK YOU!! I have had IBSD now for about 15 years and people just think it is a disease where my tummy gets upset. And it's far more than that. People do not understand that we often have to miss out on things when we know the bathroom situation will be an issue. At Christmas I had to miss out on my towns tree lighting ceremony because my stomach was bothering me and I knew it would be difficult to find a bathroom. And I just ordered tickets for a Broadway show and had to get tickets further back so I could get seats on the end in case I needed to go to the bathroom. And I feel guilty for complaining because my niece suffers with Chrones and that is far worse that what I have to go through. But it is a very real issue.

Thank you so much for making this video because my IBS is so bad I have to wear diapers because of it, even though Im younger it still embarrasses me to have an accident in front of everybody, so I think it’s best to wear them especially during long vacations and if you eat a kind of food that sets it off. This really helps me for when I go to DisneyLand. Thanks ❤️

The DAS is almost too good to be true! I love how straight-forward it is, it's the true virtual queue... you're waiting just as long as anyone else, just not in the line. And I love that it has no real benefit to people who wouldn't have a problem with the lines - you don't get on the rides any faster, you can just wait somewhere you're comfortable - so there's no real benefit for anyone to abuse the system, which hopefully means it won't become more restrictive in the future. It revolutionised my last WDW trip! I also had it on my last Disneyland trip, but I also used Maxpass, and found that actually I only used the DAS a couple of times (and on a couple of occasions, forgot I could use it when it would have helped! It's a learning curve!)

I wish I had this before going to universal. When I finally told my group to let me stay behind and that they didn’t have to take care of me, we all enjoyed the trip so much more. I pushed myself way too hard the first day and regretted it. When I was well rested and well prepared for the day I had so much more success. As far as food went, I really wanted to eat things but knew they would make me sick. I found that having one bite wouldn’t kill me, my friends definitely didn’t mind me taking a bite, and that I could survive with not eating a full treat. On the plus side, you better believe I saved so much on food and had money left over for souvenirs. Real good info here.

Well... this was an interesting surprise. I have been enjoying Pam’s content even though I’m not plus size. I find it pretty interesting by itself, and I’m intrigued that there are people standing in line worrying about if they will fit in the ride seat becaaaause, I’m the one standing there preoccupied by my gut and if I think I’m going to have to potty inopportunely before I can get to a rest room. So thank you for slipping in content that accidentally applied to me. It really is comforting to know there are other people out there who suffer similarly to me.

Audrey -- I am so glad I was able to collaborate with Christine to make this video for you. It's a topic that tons of people asked me about, but I had no experience with -- so I turned to the expertise of a fellow Disney vlogger and experienced traveler who knew all the top tips. Since I started this channel I have been amazed by how many people have a variety of concerns about their theme park experiences -- there is so much stress revolved around travel, ride vehicles, queues, food/drink -- it's incredible that anyone manages to be completely stress free. Hopefully I will be able to create more videos that will help a wide range of people. Thank you for watching and commenting.

I find that wearing a product like Depend makes me more comfortable in places where I'm not sure of bathroom availability
@PammiePlusParks4 жыл бұрын
That can be helpful but it is important to know that there are tons of bathrooms throughout the Disney parks and if you find you are in an emergency situation -- you can ask a Cast Member for immediate assistance. Use your Disney park app on your phone to filter out the bathroom locations -- you'll have a much easier time pin pointing them throughout the day. The app will even give you step by step GPS walking directions.

I do the same thing with anything that I'm worried about. It's embarrassing to me bc I'm 39 years old and I "shouldn't" have to wear them, but sometimes I have no control. This video brought up so many feelings. I have severe gi issues where sometimes I lose control, and any kind of anxiety makes it worse. It has caused somewhat of an agoraphobia in me. I miss out on so many things bc I'm so afraid of it happening. The bus to the parks, the lines, even just worrying about a line to the bathroom will cause such extreem anxiety which causes my gi issues. I have been trying to find what my safe foods are to try to help, but so far there is no rhyme or reason on what causes my problems. Just hearing from someone who seems around my age who has some of the same issues and has found a way to enjoy the parkd helps. I do wish there was a bathroom on all of the modes of transportation bc I had a control issue on the ferry one time. What a physical, emotional, and mental disaster that was. I can't do the ferry anymore bc of the anxiety of that happening again. I'm rambling, I'm sorry

Hi Pammie, I’ve been watching you for a while and love your videos. I have a question unrelated to this video, I’m visiting Disney World for the first time on the week of Halloween 2020. I’m not really interested in the Halloween stuff but got an ok price so I decided to take the plunge, now I’m all nerves because I was just told that because of the Halloween celebrations, they may not show “the happily ever after” fireworks which are the main reason I want to visit the parks. Do you know anything about it?
@PammiePlusParks4 жыл бұрын
The party starts just before sundown and the fireworks are themed to the Halloween party on party nights. Two to four nights a week there is no Halloween party...you can plan to come to Magic Kingdom on one of the non party nights to enjoy Happily Ever After. If your tickets are park hoppers you will be able to hop to MK for HEA fireworks. You can also view the fireworks from the Poly resort...you are far from the castle but you will see the fireworks and hear the music. Hope this helps.

I can go look at it the next time I am at Magic Kingdom, but they are not allowing people to sit on them yet. I can tell you what I think about it and see if I can find someone who can answer some questions but I probably won't be allowed to sit on one of the seats. Right now, they are just for display. I do know that there will be one or maybe two trains on the coaster that will have standard roller coaster seats that tall people, large people and people with mobility concerns will find more comfortable.

Thanks for sharing this with me -- I will ask about this and see what I can find out. However -- I would urge you to contact Guest Services in advance of your trip to ask for, "help planning while using DAS for an invisible disability". If you already have your tickets, hotel, and travel -- have all that handy when you call. They may be able to help you before you ever arrive - either with tips or by helping make a reservation in advance. I don't know if that is possible but it does not hurt to try. This link will take you to the WDW Disabilities page where they have a phone number and email address.... disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/guests-with-disabilities/
