Thank you so much for this tutoring and sharing. I’m far from your studio but got to know you both from Instagram account years back during pandemic time. I’m not good in back bend because also feeling the back pain when I’m trying to practice this. With this tutorial details about how to work on and feet, legs, hips, cores engagement and how to avoid to get hurts, I can feel the difference. I definitely need more time and practices. Again, thank you for sharing all the valuable tips to practice. Nemaste and grateful 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am a home practitioner!!! Just started going to a group Ashtanga class. I've been practicing Vinyasa everyday for like 6 years and Ashtanga has been so incredibly intimidating so far. I'm also a teacher 😅

I was terrified doing headstand and handstands for the first time. I'm sure dropback fear will go away as well with practice and intention 🙏

Just today morning I was in my yoga class and I try it, but was to afraid to drop. My teacher was supporting me, but I just couldn't do it. Hope one day I'll overcome my fear and just let go ❤😊

A big part of this is also mental, I know I can do it, I can get so close to the floor but there is this fear from even trying out the drop that I gotta overcome lol. Very helpful tips, your videos are always amazing and your energy is so vibrant, thank you for doing what you do and god bless you 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

Update: this video motivated me to actually attempt a full unsupported drop back and I succeeded! It was so surprisingly easy for and I was like “I was scared of this???!!!” then I kept doing them again and again with a big smile on my face 😇😇😇 this goes to show just how our mind can be the only barrier from doing what we want, and sometimes we have to just take a leap of faith, take a courageous step despite the fear, only to find out there is nothing to be scared of! The bottom part of the drop back felt like me catching myself when I’m falling, giving me a lesson to trust myself and trust my body. Love how yoga can teach us to much about ourselves in so many ways! Thank you David and Jelena for the motivation 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

thank you guys, your videos are so helpful! 😍 - I would like a tutorial on this topic: Could you show how one can do Urdhva Padmasana in Sarvangasana without using hands? I can‘t do the lotus without pulling the feet towards my body … Or is it ok to use hands? ☺️🙏💗🌸

Gosh, Jelena, you make it look so easy and controlled! 😮 I’m in awe of your strength and flexibility. I have a lot of compensations (feet turning out into second position 🩰, bending the legs, etc.). There’s always more work and fine tuning in dropbacks (for me anyway). 🤓🙏

Hi Jelena & David! Thank you so much for this tutorial. Dropbacks are my nightmare. To home practioners, would you recommend learning how to come up from Urdhva Dhanurasana before attempting to drop back?

Haha, I need to come to Toronto. After trying half dropbacks with you both in Amsterdam, I'm still at the stage working on my own where I would be a prime candidate for the police discovering me on the floor a week later. 🤣

I am a Bikram yoga practitioner going on about 10 years (and Vinyasa, but mostly Bikram) and I would love to advance my practice with your teachings. I am frustrated with doing Ashtanga Yoga mostly due to the fact that I cannot do the jump throughs. But your tutorials are fantastic! I would do anything to come to Toronto! Maybe when I retire (in 5 years!). Speaking of, is age 50 too old to learn this?
